Hmm... I need more 2€ aluminium 25mm diameter broom sticks but I bought them all. Hardware store tubes cost too much.

I'm glad I bought a (cheap) table-top drill press. I can't imagine myself drilling straight and parallel holes into a tube by hand. Last year I bought a bunch of these tomato planters with a support included https://i.imgur.com/HDY48bW.jpeg However this is a piece of trash when it comes to stability. The support is made out of several segments made out of ABS plastic that bend over time due to heat and weight of the tomatoes. I had several of those buckets fall over because it was so bendy. I bought 25mm diameter aluminium broomsticks (cheaper than a similar tube out of the hardware store). I had to drill some holes to set the height for the support rings.

The spirit of RDN (fighting over the sexual orientations of cartoon horses) lives on in the wider network, I shall be the standard bearer for as long as I am able.

@nerthos Aren't Japanese horse girls participating in running competitions the current meta?

A group of crows is called a murder. That's common knowledge. In D&D, is a group of Bhaal cultists called a murder too?

Not that I was panicking but I am relieved that my car is fully operational without any defects. I had to give it to the mandatory inspection that has to happen every two years to a certified garage. At the same time I let the garage change my oil as it was slowly becoming necessary due to the distance I've driven since the last time. Everything costs me 310€.

Someone has put out old furniture and other stuff at my street. I yanked about 16 0.5m long metal tubes. I don't know what I'm going to use them for but I'm cursed with being able to craft something. Probably something for propping up beans or gherkins. It's freeing to make something out of trash.

Aaaah. JAVA. AAAAH. Every time I have to use it it stings in my brain. WHO the F thought it was a good idea to create so many damn subfolders? com/companyname/projectname/packagename/subpackagename/... This is how it's practically impossible to develop on Windows because the path lengths exceed 255 characters easily, which in turn makes it impossible to copy a project anywhere except for the root drive directory.

Mine Gaiden beat, or the main story anyway. Still have some Substories & the coliseum mode to do.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon Kiwami 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties Starring YoPotato Knishesaka Mine, Member of the Nishikiyama Family, a Tojo Clan Direct Subsidiary is fun but boy is the hyper armor on these enemies ridiculous. It’s like RGG realized how short the story is and decided to give every enemy two health bars and the most insane amounts of armor to compensate, which Mine can’t effectively deal with because unlike Kiryu he has no charge attacks with which to break guards. Still, I have about five hours in it and haven’t yet touched the rogue like mode so I’m enjoying myself despite one of the two side stories being a reskinned Akame Network.

I *LOVE* unmaintained software libraries. At work I'm using a SDK for dotnet and its last commit was a year ago and not really actively developed. In the meanwhile Java and Python get almost daily activity. And I'm sitting here shouting explicit words seeing it not working using the simplest examples.

While shopping I remembered I forgot to put chili seeds into my pots to germinate. While there I bought some Cayenne. The Jalapeño last year were a disappointment so I hope they'll turn out OK. Two years ago I was gifted a Cayenne plant and from what I remember they were solid in quality.

Also the game has a playable SlashOut arcade cabinet that is shockingly addicting. Mine has been spending more time playing retro games than doing yakuza stuff.

I'm playing Kiwami 3 in English since I already experienced this story in Japanese. This becomes hilarious exactly ten minutes in if you choose to watch the recaps of Yakuza and Yakuza 2, because those games didn't get dubs and for some reason RGG chose not to dub the flashbacks even though, at least in Yakuza 1's case, everybody featured has an english VA from 0 or Infinite Wealth, so English Kiryu is narrating over Japanese Kiryu's dialogue, for some reason

@zeldatra OMG. It feels like RGG was phoning in this release, doing the bare minimum or less. I'm waiting for the inevitable sale in half a year.
-
@adiwan a significant chunk of it seems to have been outsourced to other SEGA studios. Methinks this one was more of a corporate mandate since with Stranger Than Heaven presumably launching next year there’d be no Yakuza until 2028 at the earliest. Still I’m having fun.

Oof. Yakuza 3 Kiwami has some bad publicity before the release. Reports say that side stories are cut and the Dark Ties part with Mine is barely any longer than Kiwami 2's Majima story. Also animations are partially badly transferred from the original and the content that was added is also half-baked. I guess I am glad not to have pre-ordered that. I think I wait it out for a sale. I don't need any pre-order bonuses.

How I love JSON and deserialization. Debugged for days only to find out that a POST REST request with an empty JSON array makes the library I use throw an exception because it turns into null instead of an object. I used for my tests an empty object {} and it worked fine.

I also put in some radish seeds into the smallest mini greenhouse. My mother tried to grow some last year but did not turn out very well. My guess is that the heat was a bit too much for them when she tried.

I was preparing my tomato seeds today https://i.imgur.com/OKIcjAk.jpeg I didn't learn from last year and did more than I have capacity in my garden right now. I guess my neighbours and friends have to suffer when I give them all what's left over.

I made 140 reusable dry-erase mini plant tags for the upcoming tomato sowing madness. Last year I used cut-up plastic packaging but they were literally garbage as they were too small, flimsy, and due to the clearness also very hard to read. I've cut blank white plastic credit card sized cards into 1'' x 5/8'' pieces. They are put into a simple 3D-printed frame where the cut pieces clip in and are easily replaceable.

>do pilot in Adobe Animate
>build assets for Adobe Animate to be reused potentially for years

@zeldatra Probably they want to squeeze out the subscribers even more with this stunt. "Oh you really want it? Pay up for the special subscription to keep it!"
