@mushi Same for me. Still, practically all humans are children of straight people. I wouldn't risk having a son or daughter, because it could backfire. He/she could end up being a thief or drug addict, and I would be honor bound to end his/her life.

@mushi I don't eally see it as selfish, but I do see it as bothersome. I don't have the patience or inclination to raise a kid. Not until age 12. I can plan and work on something for a decade without being annoyed by it, but kids are just insufferable.

@abigpony How could I. I taught her how to do all that stuff, and in less than two years she managed to do it far better than most people. I don't care if it's creepy. She might not be a god, but damn she tries.

@abigpony Not at all. Want a simple explanation? Imagine me as a guy who has guns. I see her shooting with a BB gun, with good accuracy. So I give her a real gun and say "Here, let's see what you can do with this one" and instead of shooting down a can, she takes down an entire city. So I'm all like "This girl is the best thing I saw in my whole life!" and so we get a car and go on a magical adventure shooting down things.

@abigpony I can't put it any simpler than that. She's just a girl who manages to do wonders with tools as simple as speech and manipulation. She does exactly what I do, but almost whitout restriction. That's where my admiration comes from. Her natural talent.

@abigpony I don't care. She has the same morals and sense of honor I have, so what she does is right IMO. And since we both use basically the same method, once she reaches "full level", I can't control her and she can't control me.

@nerthos I'm gonna side with @abigpony on this. It's scary as hell that you're singing accolades honoring a child's willingness to mentally manipulate her peers and use others as social shielding. On an unrelated note, I get impressed when I meet a woman who not only can actually sing but isn't a worthless Fluttershy over it too. (Not that Fluttershy is worthless, but 'm describing how some ladies will be b*'s over their singing and so on)

@abigpony I know most of her class, so I can vouch for them being idiots. And it's not because she can't hold her composture. It's just because most guys as soon as they hear she has a boyfriend, won't try to hit on her, and she won't have to deal with them. You tend to try to avoid people when you see most of them as stupidly irritating.

@nerthos yeah, no matter how big of a pedestal you find at the flea market to put this girl on, those harmless classmates and that boyfriend are all her peers. Like I said, not a big difference in their maturity but it appears to be more drastic through the eyes of the young.

@nerthos i think you're generalizing people as i highly doubt you've gotten to know them and judge them by a time or two you've met them. In general, you're praising a manipulative girl who just doesn't want contact with anyone because she thinks she's better than everyone, something you've apparently taught her.

@nerthos It's all about maturity when it comes to smart kids who aren't smart enough to use their wits responsibly. Look, the only reason why I'm even talking about this because you're doing this whole, "aw man she's so fine for using people because she's smarter than them," and I'm guessing you bring up morals because she's not using her mental skills to exploit them for cash or something, but that's not much worse than what you've already described to begin with. Also, considering our last convo when your argument was "lol murder is okay because it solves the population problem," your arguments concerning morals should be relatively invalid.

@abigpony Ok, you got all that wrong, and I'm not skilled enough with English to explain all of it. Some people know too much and are too intelligent when compared to others their age, so what for most is "spending time with people" for them is like being in a cage with apes. That is a medically proven fact.

@nerthos That's a kind of situation where the person in question just has to deal with it. You may be smarter than the people around you, but you still have to respect them lest everyone write you off and ignore you.

@redenchilada Breaking their wills so they aren't as unconciously annoying is a way of dealing with it. For me respect is something that only works if it's reciprocate.

@nerthos you raised the issue of overpopulation to an unrealistic level of concern and condoned war as a morally acceptable substitute to something admittedly harder to achieve (solving hunger) but doesn't involve murder. And in this conversation you're inferring a person's rights to manipulate and exploit others as long as they are intellectually superior.

@nerthos Your original point was a borderline-sophist opinion that you could handle raising a kid at 12 years old and on, citing this intellectually superior but morally ambiguous girl (and if she's harassed nearly as badly as you describe, then she's just unethical) as the basis for your belief in why you feel it's possible.

@nerthos to bring this debate to the original point, what would happen if your kid happened to be not intellectually superior? Would it be okay for intellectually superior peers to treat your kid the way this girl treats her classmates, whether the kid did anything wrong?

@redenchilada Been there, done that. It's not neccesary to constantly play the puppeteer, it's just one of many tools to make stuff less annoying. A workplace is completely different from school. There's stuff to do and money to earn.

@crusader8 If the kid were to just annoy someone smarter than him without reason, I would just say to him "you earned it, deal with the consequences" I would be filth if I were to give reason or protect someone just because that person shares blood with me, regardless of the situation. I try to be as impartial as I can.

@nerthos that would be fine if it were that simple. You're not going to know what happened to him or her because odds are this would happen at school. It will be difficult to discern what actually happened. The only problem with kids deciding who smarter than who to see who should be put in place is just that - these are kids deciding who "deserves" to be treated like that. Even if your kid did something to murdock them off, it's the faculty's job (and yours) to rectify the behavior. Waiting for his or her peers get even is very poor parenting if you actually want your kid to grow up. Also, you can't be impartial - it's your kid! Being impartial would actually be bad for the kid. This is all parenting 101 so it's not necessary to delve further unless you're actually putting serious thought in siring a child. But, aren't you like, a kid yerself?

@crusader8 I'm 19. I won't raise a kid, but I don't care either about what would be good for him, but what would be right to do. Being impartial is one of the most important things for justice. I won't stain my honor for some kid.
