@snowcone I got a raise at work that has yet to be implemented. Also my antidepressant dose had to be increased due to an unwavering and unfortunate amount of hatred towards myself.

@mrdragon Things have improved tremendously from the years past, though I'm not quite where I want to be yet. I've taken my oath of enlistment and am fully in the Air Force though. I'll be shipping out to basic training in the next few months or so.

@yodelerty I can only speculate based on personal experience. Off the bat I'd say start by believing that it's possible for you to be happy with yourself, (it doesn't have to be true yet, just possible). Think of what has true value to you in life, and begin to seek it out, savor it, and share it with others. Imagine what life would be like ideally and what kind of person you'd be in such a life. Imagine the best possible situation for yourself in actual reality. Acknowledge your limitations and look for a way to reach that goal. There's way too much to explain in any short ammount of time. A counselor is highly recommended.

@yodelerty Professional aid is usually worth the trouble but that's up to you. Also, self help sites and books could be very useful.

@yodelerty I've mostly only read relationship help books. The Anatomy of Peace is a good self help book though. I think there's a brony support group on reddit also. Whenever I feel the need for either comfort or constructive self criticism I usually read the Book of Mormon personally. It's found online at scriptures.lds.org and can be ordered for free if you don't mind missionaries visiting you.
