@critialcloudkicker Honestly? If I had all the time in the world I'd go out of my way to watch TWD, but that's because I think ANY show is worth watching from a creative perspective, if only to evaluate its weaknesses and learn from them. I'm glad I watched as much as I did, just so I feel justified in complaining about it. If you feel inclined to watch more, then go for it. If you're looking for something that's actually substantial, then find something else. I guess it depends on what your priorities are when it comes to media.

@critialcloudkicker It's EXTREMELY formulaic. That would be fine if it were its own formula, but the cut-and-paste 'running from zombies forever while all your fellow survivors get picked off but then you meet more survivors, ad infinitum' dreck has nothing to add to the genre. The show relies SOLELY on the hype around zombies, and uses them as a crutch in lieu of any real plot or character development--both of which are heavily lacking in TWD--but the fans are appeased by the occasional zombie ambush. Overall, I suppose the show isn't an active detriment to television, it's just... unoriginal, uneventful and kind of pointless. It's kind of a zombie in and of itself: slow, bland and devoid of cognition.

@critialcloudkicker The Walking Dead is a very bad show, that's for sure. Breaking Bad has a lot of value in its overarching story and themes to be honest; even having been spoiled before watching it, the experience as a whole was still excellent, and I didn't feel worse for knowing what would happen.
