  1. @critialcloudkicker Tumblr comes up with it's own canon for shows it likes and then assumes that the popular head-canon is the right one and any alternative ideas are often shunned.

  8. @critialcloudkicker It doesn't solve the "problem". The universal translator has to understand what is written in the computers. Also there were numerous episodes about pre-warp civilisations.

  12. @critialcloudkicker Fortran is for weird people and for those who are way behind. Fortran uses column major matrices, whereas other languages use row major order. Fortran is only used in archaic system environments and surprisingly in high performance computing.

  16. @critialcloudkicker Humans are smarter though, and usually have the good judgement not to act when they shouldn't. With dogs, unless you spend months training them, they will do crap they know they shouldn't do all the time, make no effort to hide it, and will cry and run away when confronted. You could break every bone in their body and they'd do it again once they're healthy. A human wouldn't.

  17. @critialcloudkicker that's why I try to cover stories that would normally be outside my conservative listenership's point of view (Arab appreciation events, gay rights, etc)

  18. @critialcloudkicker I'm completely tired of them, their destructive and brash nature, cowardice and pack mentality.

  19. @critialcloudkicker I guess I'm just being a bit of a newsperson apologist since that's literally what I do for a living. Although I don't have the chance to make sensational headlines since I'm on the radio, I definitely do try to make my lead sentence attention grabbing (i.e. of someone died in the incident, you can be sure I'm mentioning it in the opener)

  20. @critialcloudkicker I can't stand them either. There are two things that ruin my mood almost instantly, and those are news and dogs.

  21. @critialcloudkicker That's what news programs do. Make up sensational headlines. The point is to sell an image or idea, not to give accurate information.
