@widget The easiest thing to remember is what people come here for. They come here to post, freely they hope. And changing what is possibly the core part of the site will always have you being given negative attention. What you need is features that work around the core part of your website, never interfering with it, not interrupting it. If this site were new and made from scratch, then you could of gotten away with what you had. But it's sadly not, it's nearly two years old now and the core part of this site has been established and, as you say, no one really wants that changed.

@widget You have to think that, if you add ANY new feature the general outlook on it is going to be negative. Only be implementing good ideas without pitfalls can you push that up to a positive. The main downfall of this was that you were controlling when people could post.
