@ceruleanspark Actually I think that I would be more interested in modding the living daylights out of the looks ( but not the internal mechanism ) using wood, a 3D printer, and bits and pieces of metal and loads and loads of screws. It is post apocalyptia we are talking about, guns have been handed down for generations, having had nearly 300 repairs. As a side effect disputes in post apocalyptia is 9 our of 10 times settled with diplomacy. And in the more extreme cases diplomacy and assassinations. But I thank you for the info :)

@critialcloudkicker You can make a pretty good looking "Ghetto barrel" (IE, not chunky and more weatherable) with PVC pipe. You can even get a decent enough vacuum seal that the barrel doesn't ruin the performance.

@ceruleanspark Just for funzo's I am looking at some mod video's on youtube, It looks like I can exchange a lot of the internal components with steel ones due to my vast collection of junk. I probably won't but one can dream ^^
