Semi-related: my brothers and I always shared a single file on videogames when we were kids. At least on DK64, anyway. Even the three of us combined couldn't figure out how to beat the Creepy Castle boss. I still remember finding out that Hideout Helm was a thing a couple years back.

If you just throw your kids in front of the videogames and don't pay any attention to them, they're gonna turn out wrong, yeah. The key is treating it like entertainment and not like a babysitter. Hell, my parents would always play with us and get lots of multiplayer games so we at least knew how to communicate with other human beings.
