@flaxx Perhaps it would help to conceal a beartrap in your lap. ^_^
-
@thelastgherkin No, but I mocked yours in turn. One step at a time, this good deed shall go 'round the world!
-
@supercammy That'll give you a real boost if you ever want a job as a kindergarten teacher. XD
-
@thelastgherkin Are you aware of the fact that you are one character away from either intriguing obscenity or a typo-free moment with this post? :3

I was defeated by food last year, though. In the month of February, I concieved of an addiction to fresh-baked cinnamon rolls with danish icing and ate a package a day all month. That addiction was concluded one morning when I realized it had become physically impossible to cram my big fat cherries into 3/4 of the jeans in my wardrobe. I'm 33, and it's the first time in my life I ever cared a fig for nutritional content and all that crap. It was no huge ordeal. I was getting sick of the rolls anyway. I've never had any overwhelmingly powerful sweet tooth. ^_^

@ceruleanspark Both. I'm skinny, too. I used to say my brain sucked all the calories down, but it's getting harder to keep a straight face. XD
-
You know, if I knew .tcl scripting, I bet I could write an Eggie script on the same lines as chanlink to mirror StatusNet to IRC and vice/versa.

Um, my mother always said I ate like a pregnant woman. ^_^
-
@ceruleanspark I solve that problem by keeping covered dishes of my favorite high-quality pasta sauce and my favorite ranch dressing brand in the refrigerator to use for chilled dips for too-hot pizza - and hot dogs, it happens... on potato buns, with catsup and smoked gouda cheese... crap. Now I'm hungry.

Ooo, Jabber setup docs! I bet that refreshes all by itself! ^_^

@ceruleanspark I didn't say the glass was cracked. I said the display. It looks like gangrene and gets worse all the time. The death creeps across the surface as months go by. XD
-
@ceruleanspark I don't want the glass. :)
-
I'm not ready for the display myself. :) $600/estimated. It was top of the line when I bought it, ~$4,000. I haven't regretted a dime. I'm using a 46" HDTV for the display instead at the moment, which is lovely but sucks down processor cycles to support. :(

@ceruleanspark Yes, and a lot of difference between a fan and the 17" display I cracked by kicking the thing off a TV tray. ^_^

As if hypertext didn't have a fat enough apples already... >:(

I'm not dissatisfied at all. I just wish the software developers would quit packing stupid bloatware into every upgrade. The G+ java interface is a _disgrace_. Function over form. Period. >:(

@cavatina I know about the AppleCare thing. Mine worked flawlessly for nearly 3 years to the day, then one of the OC'd processor fans died. $80 to replace, including labor, and I'd been running it 24/7 at 3x default speed for 3 years. ^_^
-
I hear you're in charge here, @ceruleanspark so while you're tinkering with the site logo down there, consider this: have the server mirror each registered user's avatar to themselves instead of a single pony. There's too much factionalism the other way, and it'd kick dole in any case. I, however, have been investigating the documentation and there are setup tweaks to tink with. >:3 AFK...

@cavatina "Died?" Mac tech support is first rate, even after AppleCare expires. The hardware is reasonably priced for Apple, diagnosis is fast and easy, work is done promptly, and the QC is first rate. What do you mean by "died"? Did you hammer a timber tie through it? ʘ⌢◉

Oh, ick. Someone from my state did a PMV for the home turf. It's not brilliant, but at least whoever it was had the sense to avoid trying and failing to keep events matched to beat. Even so, the concept is half-baked at best. The problem with WV, when we try to stand with the rest of the planet, is that we have too small a pool of talent. 2,000,000 residents is not enough to produce really brilliant people. >_<

@omni I'm not running going for OpenShot via MacPorts, either. All the MacPorts apps run through X11 under OSX, which is two levels of GUI backend, two and a half of GUI frontend, and far too many levels of abstraction for video editing on a three year old MacBook Pro. >_<
-
@omni Oh, well.

@omni Macintosh: Final Cut Pro, $300.00 :)

I wish I knew how to edit video. I'd like to replace the music in some of these PMVs I've collected with the real versions, the grown-up kind. The Charlie Daniels vid is so very cringe-worthy, but the worst is this awful corruption of Mambo #5. Disney characters. I'm an old Otaku! Have mercy on my frail mind! >_<

I notice the gremlin is quietly fading away once more. >:( Shoo, skriptkiddie! I was playing C64 text-based games before your parents could legally screw.

Wow. One of the extensions I installed this morning finds the most likely definition or reference for any single word you double-click on. I wonder which one does that? O_o
