  1. !calgarybronies This weekend was awesome and pony filled! Thanks to all the ride-giving people! It was very nice and helpful. Also, thanks to @puzzlemint for the Pinkie Pie! She makes this temporary and unpleasant place happier. :) My Monday class ends at 5, but I have to leave right away 'cause my mom's picking me up for an appointment out of town.

  5. @puzzlemint !calgary I believe that's the one, yeah. Personally I find it easier just to walk, it's almost a straight line west from 7th street station downtown but it's also 20-30 minutes depending on pace. Up to you. It technically starts at 5PM but the room usually isn't clear until 6 or we tend to wait until then. @conjure and I will also be slightly later then 5 since we're picking up Ikasama but we'll be there before 6.

  6. @puzzlemint Hm. Looks like the # is the only bus that heads in that direction at all. Should get the job done. !calgary

  12. @puzzlemint @pseudoartiste When it comes to rides, it's mostly just @conjure with the car. He's just a nice enough guy to take as many people as he can. I've been abusing that and pretty much filling his car this point. Not sure if any of the other !calgarybronies even have vehicles, except our one Red Deer guy. If we have another vehicle, that would be helpful. We have the site until 9:15 and the bus going back to Crowfoot station goes for another hour or so. So that part isn't all bad. The issue is other buses certain ponies need to take. That's just my take on the whole thing though.

  14. @puzzlemint Thanks SO much for the info! I dont think me or Tay (my elusive friend) can meetup tomorrow. :( Sorry but we kind of just had some major school/residency issues dropped in our laps. Sorry to miss you, and I hope we'll see you on Fri!

  16. @puzzlemint ya SAIT is a great place, feels like you are actually learning things there rather then just being fed information like HS

  17. @puzzlemint Thanks! It would be great if you could check the stops with us, but sadly our classes end at 5. :( Thank you so so much for the help!

  18. @puzzlemint Looks like you've got a good one there. Doing a bit of my own sleuthing, the simplest route, though it takes a bit longer, is to ride the train all the way to Crowfoot up north then taking your # down south until you cross over a bridge on the river and you're pretty much there! !calgary

  19. @puzzlemint Do you understand this crazy transit madness?! LOL! Would it be weird if I asked you if a friend and I could maybe go along with you to the BBQ? We are not from Calgary and a little hesitant about busing. (we could end up anywhere! O-O) No prob if is not cool with you :)

  26. @puzzlemint @leonkfox !vgp Physical appeals to me in a way digital never will. Holding the box, having a manual, having a hard copy of something as it were... something to put on a shelf and display, and be able to hold onto for archival purposes. This is a very good thing. Digital, on the other hand, is glorious for being able to get something as soon as it comes out, pay the people who created it so that they can survive and keep on making awesome things, and usually allows for instant patches, add-ons, updates, and other fun stuff. Pros and cons, etc. I'm ok with a developer having full control over their own sales, as that cuts out middlemen and allows them to reap the profits of their own work. I'm not okay with DRM that makes it so once they're tired of supporting it, it goes away and suddenly you can't play what you paid for. But I kinda wish all titles were available both digitally and physically...

  30. @puzzlemint I didn't say that YOU SPECIFICALLY SAID THAT, that's what I hear from countless PC fanboys and people who are convinced digital distribution is flawless and is the future. And who's putting words in whose mouth again?
