  8. @peppermintgumdrops If it looks similar to the 2010 game, then I'll just slam my head on my desk.

  9. Whenever someone tells me that gamepad is better than keyboard + mouse for FPS games, i tell them to turn off the target assist and tell me it again :3. It's so hard to aim without that cause the sticks aren't precise...

  10. @peppermintgumdrops I really didn't like the Medal of Honour game from 2010. Way too much like Battlefield, which, considering the series' roots, is a bit head-scratchy.

  11. @cavatina I won't be holding out much hope, but I'll still look and see.

  12. @nerthos CoD4 had a very good campaign in my book.

  13. @cavatina @nerthos I second CoD4, I still think it's the best 'modern' FPS you can get.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 17:15:21 UTC from web in context
  14. @nerthos The series has kind of stuck with the Call of Duty 4 basis since that game came out 5 years ago, and now, most FPSs seem to be falling down the hole and not doing as well.

  15. @omni For me, it's just money.

  16. @cavatina For ShootMania. Pay beforehand and you get to play the beta.

  17. @nerthos Battlefield 3 caught a case of the Call of Duty.

  18. @cavatina It's a pre-order bonus.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 17:08:43 UTC from web in context
  19. @cavatina Well, £20 to spend on games.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 17:08:09 UTC from web in context
  20. @cavatina I do trust Nadeo. Apparently, the beta is pretty good, but I don't have £20 to get it.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 17:07:37 UTC from web in context
  21. @nerthos Homefront was alright, but the singleplayer was pretty bad. Multiplayer was pretty good, but couldn't hold the game up. It's a similar problem Dead Island had, only a bit worse.

  22. @cavatina Though ShootMania looks good. Then again, I love TrackMania (and I still want TrackMania Canyon. :c)

Friday, 03-Aug-12 17:05:31 UTC from web in context
  23. @nerthos Killing Floor is great and the F2P ones on Steam are pretty good too, but games like Homefront really should've been better then they were.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 17:03:10 UTC from web in context
  24. @nerthos When it comes to multiplayer, I'm not overly fussed, but when it comes to FPSs, if they have a meh singleplayer and/or meh multiplayer, then I probably won't enjoy it that much. If it has great single player or multiplayer, then I might enjoy it.

  25. @nerthos To me, graphics are the last thing I care about. Gameplay, then longevity, then story, then multiplayer, THEN graphics is the way I look at a game, in order of importance.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 16:47:31 UTC from web in context
  26. @cavatina If they did that, it'd only work on Xbox 360. xD

Friday, 03-Aug-12 16:45:09 UTC from web in context
  27. @cavatina As much as it pains me to say this, the Dreamcast re-releases have been kind of bleh, mostly because they have be litteraly ported. No noticeable graphic upgrades.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 16:43:55 UTC from web in context
  28. @thelastgherkin I know, but it's just a bit silly how many there are. The collections are fine, but single re-releases are getting a bit silly.

Friday, 03-Aug-12 16:39:20 UTC from web in context
  29. @nerthos Part of me is thinking that these re-releases are getting a bit stupid. Yes, it's money for the publishers and yes, the user can relive nostalgia with updated graphics. But the amount we're getting/got is a bit absurd.
