@shadowspark They don't care about free tv or radio because they can get money from every channel which plays their songs. This is pretty much the usual way of distribution and especially radio is still seen as a wonderful way to market your CDs - because you can only hear what they play, you can't hear a song you like whenever you like. so you hear it, get hooked and buy the CD.

@shadowspark They want it because they generally want control - especially the music industry is very harsh in that regard. When there was no internet it all was like "taping kills music" - mainly because they can not comprehend why you would like to buy the music when you can have it for free.

@shadowspark My mind is kind of divided in that regard. I see that it is possible to get some indie or old games because of DRM based systems like Steam, but I hate it if you can't get a game the normal way again. worst is if you have to log in to play, because some people don't have internet everywhere...

@shadowspark The only DRM I can survive is VALVe's DRM because VALVe aren't complete appless and won't go all "hurr durr pirate" on you for installing it on more than one PC.
