@starshine i dont want any problems either. some of us just felt like you could have gone about this in a better way then telling us we cant use our tags when we talk to each other. i have been following your conversation with pheonix and he has it right. we dont want to be offensive and say we dont want to talk its just that most of us are only on this site to stay in touch with our group and plan upcoming events.

!calgarybronies important notice! please read. ok so last night the group and some members were messaged by a certain starshine about the use of our groups tag on the site. these mesages have have raised some concerns among some of the members my self included. i have brought these concerns up with darcyblue earlier today in person and he shares these concerns. due to his current lack of internet access he wants me to tell everyone to just keep posting as we always do. i am sure i dont need to tell you this but if what you are posting is for the group to see put the tag in like we always do and if it is not do not put the tag in. once darcy get his internet back (hopefully tonight) he will be looking into shifting the group and most if not all communication for the group to the blog. if you have any concerns or want to talk with darcy himself his skype address is darthblueafro. he says his skype will be on pretty much all the time after internet is returned. that is all thank you.

@conjure !calgarybronies I wouldn't worry. It was just a friendly invitation for us to be social with the rest of the site (which I'm going to try to do from now on).

@starshine It wasn't really you per se, but the way you worded it and the other conversations made it come out more accusing then usual. Some of us didn't seem to take that well. We were mainly using RDN as a "chat among the group" kinda thing anyways, which it isn't, it's probably for the best we do it this way. Not so much your fault as it is a disagreement in the way the site is used. You didn't do anything wrong. Problem is now we seem to have a "those guys don't want to talk to anypony else" kind of image we didn't particularly want now. It'll be for the best in the end.

@starshine Aha! I got a laugh! It may only be a written one and possibly not true, but my mission is accomplished all the same! In any case, chances are I'll keep using the tag in most of my posts. But! That doesn't mean nopony has to feel like they can't take part and reply to my post! I'll be more then happy to strike up a conversation. Some of our group may not, but I'm sure a few others will, I'm just not sure which ones. The tag doesn't really mean "don't talk to us if you're not from here". It's just how we learned to make use of it. Excuse the superlong post. Mine tend to draw on like this. I actually hit the character limit once!

!vancouverbronies speaking of cupcakes o.o... i was watching "party of one" just now and i might have discovered something intresting.... Ok notice that Pinkie Pie lives on the upstairs room of the Sugar Cube corner and it even shows her spying on Twilight later on in the episode right? But... when Pinkie Pie is haveing her freak out party... she's on the bottom floor along with her bed and Rainbow Dash comes in through the front door. Maybe I'm looking too much into it and Pinkie is just haveing a party somewhere else... but i just found that kinda intresting.

@muttstuffle there's nothing wrong with that. All it means is there's no https server running. It's sending all the same data whether you use the website directly or some other client.

@starshine yes but with ssl all packages are encrypted, including your password, no ssl=open bait for data.

Which leads me to believe that Granny Smith's original name when she was young was the Irish Abigail, meaning "Little Smith". (or at least a pet name..) When she became old, though, her grandchildren called her Granny Smith. Either that or her name was Applesmith..
