!yorkshirebronies I've had a brief look at Sheffield Uni's room booking prices, looks to be some reasonable options (About £100 for 4 hours, or 3 hours in a slightly smaller but nicer furnished room), but the main issue I'm seeing is that during term time the bulk of the facilities are only available after 6pm due to lectures. At some point I'll make it down to the uni to try and talk this all out with someone on the staff, find out what's available when, but it looks like it's hypothetically possible to pull off if we can split the fee enough ways.

@frostyhooves !yorkshirebronies hope you do attend. I would like to see an even greater number than the first meetup if possible

!yorkshirebronies It seems that the Liverpool meetup date changed. Either that, or I just dun goof'd. http://www.facebook.com/groups/378316685531053/

!yorkshirebronies @frostyhooves No problem! Since this whole group is getting so big, I'm having a crack at making a PHP based website. It's not going to be anything fancy (I'm the world's worst programmer), but more of a way for people to submit their name, and confirm their attendance at future meetups. It just automates the whole process and makes it so much easier for everyone. Any ideas of stuff that may be of use to us on the site?

!yorkshirebronies @klayking Thank you for the welcome. :3 I look forward to anything we decide to do if I can attend. ^^

!yorkshirebronies @trister Oh yeah, next meetup could be in a month's time! If we have a large amount of attendees again, a function room will be awesome as heck. Any ideas what you guys would want to do at the meetup?

!yorkshirebronies has anyone had a look for function rooms in/around Leeds yet? It occurred to me that we might be able to call one of those information places like 118 or whatever, or the yell one, and see if we can find anything. I will try to look into it later this week if we still have nothing

!yorkshirebronies @klayking When these finally release I expect they'll sell out instantly XD. Worst part is that it will be a Toys R Us exclusive and we have no info on UK release or not... time to ask your US friends if they don't mind doing some shopping for you....

@klayking !yorkshirebronies I shall try this excuse xD Does anyone know if the Morley Asda superstore actually sells the blind bags, I'd hate to eventually get there and find none.
-
!yorkshirebronies @undeadtaz "I need to go there to acquire... um... MAN STUFF! YES, TOO MANLY FOR YOU TO KNOW!"
-
@durandal !yorkshirebronies the awkward moment when you haven't finished typing and just wanted to go down a line, but it sends >_< I'm going to try going to the massive Asda in Morley sometime this week, how to convince my mother to take me there is a different matter though xD
-
@durandal !yorkshirebronies I just don't think the stores I go to are big enough : /
-
!yorkshirebronies @elscire Creeper on the right is actually a pony! :3 I modified it myself from Kna's awesome templates! http://klayking.deviantart.com/#/d3gasj4
-
@klayking !yorkshirebronies NICE! Papercraft for the win. I have to say though, the weighted companion cube is awesomest. Given that they haven't exploded yet, I guess creepers consider ponies to be other mobs.
-
!yorkshirebronies @durandal Well, I guess I don't live near enough to any "big" stores. I get all my ponies from meetups, or by making them myself! On a related topic: OHGODIHAVEAPROBLEM! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6674290/IMG_0834.JPG

!yorkshirebronies @undeadtaz ASDA and Morrisons has been pretty successful for us; the big ones, at least. Got like 5 sets of everything we needed (house full of bronies xD) between two ASDA superstores and one of whatever Morrisons calls their biggest shops. Are you just not finding them in stock at all, or not finding particular ponies?
-
!yorkshirebronies Argh! Why are blind bag ponies impossible to find in actual shops :'(
-
!yorkshirebronies Yeah, anyone with Uni connections may be able to get us a place in Sheffield, York, Leeds or anywhere else within range of most of us. That would be cool. Otherwise a projector and a room could also work!

@crimson !yorkshirebronies I can imagine it would be easy enough to rent a room with video showing capabilities, it might just require a little digging
-
!yorkshirebronies If all else fails we could always just rent a projector and a fairly large room?
-
!yorkshirebronies @mattus701 @klayking Hmm, I was kinda expecting something like that, they have to cover their flanks, after all. If we wanted to get a showing going, university facilities might be a better shot. The impression I've had (at least from Sheffield university) is that they've got more of a 'plausible deniability' policy: they don't want to know what you're doing with the auditorium, and it's on you if you get into trouble ; ) Aside from an actual auditorium, booking a lecture theatre to get access to the projectors in there would be a good alternate solution. That said, I think UoS only books out to societies, but it might be that they book out to any student with the cash for the fee. No idea what other uni's policies might be.

!yorkshirebronies Apparently also that cinema in the Light, right near the restaurant we went to, allows private hire of its screening rooms. Without ringing up I can't find much out, but I bet it will be pricey...

!yorkshirebronies Been doing some very half-arsed 5 minute research again. It does look to be quite far from Leeds city centre but so far, it looks feasable. Prices don't look half bad either! http://www.cottageroad.co.uk/privatehire.php http://g.co/maps/xwq77
