  3. @leonkfox I remember the very first Smackdown game I ever bought in 2001 or something, 'WWF Smackdown! Just Bring It'. I was still playing it when Smackdown vs Raw came about. Also since we're talking about being behind the times, games I haven't played: COD4, MW2, Killzone, GTA IV, Halo (any of them), FEAR, Mass Effect... the list goes on. My 360 was only bought a year ago and until then I had a PS2. Damn, I need to catch up!

  7. @shoutingryan Nevertheless I was still impressed by the site name.

  8. @shoutingryan She totally makes up for that by fashioning 3 capes - without any of the adults in the room noticing - from a sheet of fabric in less than 10 seconds.

  9. @shoutingryan But Sweetie Belle is a superfast ninja :(

  11. @leonkfox An unhealthy diet most likely results in death. A bad camera most likely results in a bad picture. So 'death' is the analogy for 'bad picture', just as 'fresh food' is the analogy for 'good camera' and 'chef' is the analogy for 'professional photographer'. You're disregarding the fact that it's analogy by saying "Taking bad pictures won't result in death", you are. But I don't want to bicker with you, this is just my opinion that if you're going to take pictures and spread them on tumblr or whatever you should use an actual camera.

  12. @leonkfox Do try to think in terms of analogy, old chap.

  13. @leonkfox Yes, microwave meals are unhealthy, but unless you are a professional cook or are really bananas about health (at which point you would have noticed real food far before the "Eat some real food" campaign) because unhealthy foods really don't matter.

  14. @leonkfox Just my opinion, but I think that somebody shouldn't be happy with something mediocre even if your job doesn't revolve around it (the analogy in what I said was that a decent camera is vegetables and a phone camera was a microwave meal or something)... I think that the campaign you mentioned is aimed at people who take a lot of photographs with their iPhones etc and spread them around anyway, which is a bit more than 'casual user'.

Monday, 25-Jul-11 11:23:38 UTC from web in context
  15. @leonkfox "If you're a professional chef I understand the need for healthy food but for a casual eater I see no need for vegetables."

  16. @abigpony Yeah, that's why I'm thinking of doing this stuff in the wrong order, I like the idea people can jigsaw them together later on. A lot of the plot-driven storylines later on in the timeline are direct results of events caused by strangers, who don't even show up in the later story, in earlier 'slice-of-life'-style stories. I want to try and have it so someone can read just one of them and not have to wonder why such-and-such is happening or "who is this character".

  17. In your opinion, is it better to write a series in chronological order or out of chronological order? Do keep in mind that the series is comprised of many closed stories and can, in fact, be read in any order at all and still make sense, but will form a larger narrative when put in the correct order.

  20. I just had the urge to make a Rainbow Dash cake. It would be like a normal rainbow cake but with marzipan icing mostly in cyan but with her cutie mark on top centre. Said cake would be at least 20% cooler than any other cake, and that's a pinkie promise.

  23. @madflavors That seems like something THEY'D suggest! No I'm joking. I remember deciding to get up and get a sandwich but that was like 4 hour ago and I still don't have a sandwich so I think I forgot to get up and make myself a sandwich.

  24. @thecupcakinator I inexplicibly find myself in a situation where I have neither eaten nor slept in 36 hours and I have no idea why it happened. It's hard to type, which I'm assuming is the effects of starvation, but I'm also feeling very giddy and laughtastic, which I'm assuming is the sleep deprivation. I've forgotten the point I was getting at. Perhaps I was going to make a joke of some kind. But starvation is no joke, except when it is. Also, I'm good, thank you for asking.
