  3. @retl No, I just sucked at grammar. It wasn't so much a question as a direct statement; it's now impossible to change. You're a year too late. Whether you'd prefer to disregard the 4chan roots of the fandom is irrelevant, because they're present and had an active role in the naming of the fandom (which was originally /b/ronies as a play on the word /b/ro, which refers to /b/ posters). Gender simply does not come into it!

  4. @retl I wouldn't even care. I think 'Brony' is a horrible word and don't use it, but not because of some gender issue that doesn't exist in the fandom. I've only ever seen non-MLP fans get up in arms about it. Besides, the idea that we HAVE to change what we call ourselves is ridiculous. They can call themselves pegasisters all they like, don't tell me what I can and can't do.

  5. @retl Well, what the hell did they call themselves before us? Moreover, are enough women fans getting angry enough to warrant doing so?

  6. @presentperfect I'm just telling you what he said, brah.

  7. @presentperfect Site Owner had a mope yesterday, said that nobody was coming to the site and he barely even wanted to come here himself anymore and Ponychan is better for brony social networking.

  8. @ceruleanspark Thanks!

  9. @ceruleanspark No worries! Did that direct mail send or is RDN being a silly pony?

  12. @derpytails Some people just want to watch the world burn, man.

  13. I believe I converted my other cousin to MLP today. Good job? Maybe. She's a 12-year old girl, though, so I'm not so sure. My 18-year old (boy) cousin was an early victim to my pony vampirism.

  14. @ceruleanspark If I PM you with the specific idea I'm running with ATM, do you think we could have a brainstorm sesh for a way to sell it properly? I'm honestly out of any ideas.

  15. @dezzierose I absolutely must use the phrase "chucklenuts" more often!

  16. @ceruleanspark Aah, Lovecraft. Nameless City, I believe? He's such an inspiration, but I don't want to overtly rip off his ideas.

  17. @scribus It's a solid idea, but I'm stuck on the details. I can't think of a single non-ridiculous way to set up the most essential Checkhov's gun of them all.

  18. Plot holes are hard. I'm trying to reconcile a Celestia that can't die with a dead Luna. Struggling.

  20. @ponybis Lol, test failed. I wanted to see if shift+return could skip down a line.

  21. @ponybis Hmm, this makes me wonder.

  22. @madflavors I wouldn't mind but it's always "ALRIGHT CHUM OI'M BRITISH WE'RE GONNA GO MAKE SUM TEA AND EYTE CRUMPATS NOW, WOT WOT PIP PIP TALLY HO"

  23. @ponybis A lot of Americans try doing a British accent at me when I go there. I've taken to replying in the most redneck voice I can muster.

  27. @leonkfox It's hot, but not as much as it was. The problem is that the US Dollar bubble, the largest bubble in history, is going to burst very soon and will drag everywhere down with it.

Saturday, 10-Sep-11 03:25:00 UTC from web in context
  28. @fluttershy321 Maybe according to Google Translate but not in reality. And as for why he said it, he's continuing @nvrrmbr 's theme of writing 'For the new lunar republic' in a different language. Voor de nieuwe maanafstand republiek!

Saturday, 10-Sep-11 03:22:34 UTC from web in context
  29. @fortecanter Yeah, that would work as well. Although make sure that you don't portray her as 'Wise All-knowing Luna' if you're going to make her forget things!

  30. @fluttershy321 I think it says "For the New Lunar Republic!"
