http://techieboy45.heliohost.orgHi there! I'm a brony, (slight) Whovian, otaku, gamer, and all-around geek. My favorite thing to to is PROGRAM (especially HTML) and my fave pony is Pinkie Pie, because she manages to be happy in just about every situation. Except in, you know, THAT fanfic. DX I identify most with Twilight, though, because we're both geeks and heavy readers. On a side note, I play the alto sax in band!

So, things in band just got a bit tougher. We got assigned Armed Forces On Parade, and it's INSANELY fast. By itself, it's about 140 BPM, but it's in freaking cut time so it's really 280 BPM. That's pretty darn fast for a sax player like me.

@rainboydash Hey!
-
@mrmattimation Oh. Sorry.
-
@mrmattimation Did you mean EDT, by any chance? I don't think that the clocks need to turn back yet.

@nut Pfft, meant the National Geographic online game. My little brother plays it and that's pretty much how the item trading system works.

@nut Animal Jam?

Actually thinking of professionally arranging and having my school band play (with written OK from the Yogscast, of course), http://rainbowdash.net/url/773760. IT'S JUST SO PERFECT FOR SYMPHONIC BAND

You know your dad is awesome when (#347)... He helps with dealing with a mice problem at my grandma's house in California over the summer, then goes out in the middle of the night to deal with a wasp (technically, bald-faced hornet) nest in the middle of the night. DADDY THE EXTERMINATOR (also, PhD in Philosophy, so we have some crazy discussions sometimes)

I realized last night that my dream week would be in the Library of Congress, quite literally the biggest library in the United States. This would include sleeping in it too.

@rarity Yeah.

@techdisk Yeah, New Hampshire makes a lot more sense (when looking on Google Maps) than a relatively short peak in the middle of the western US.
-
Everyone should go check out Kelly Valleau on YouTube. Be warned, though, that if you go to his website for tabs, you have to pay a monthly subscription fee (US$11.95) to access any of the tabs.
-
@techdisk Mt. Washington in New Hampshire? Makes a little more sense than Pikes Peak in Colorado.

So, my school announced today that they're starting to go around and do random checks to see if every student has everything they need. First, they took away restroom passes during lunch. Now, this? Is this school, or is this Arstotzka?

@critialcloudkicker Yeah, plus I used to be able to get up at 6 or 6:30.
-
@critialcloudkicker I am very much feeling aversion for the world today after needing to get up at 5:30 AM every single morning to catch the bus.

Blarg, school schedule makes for mad dashes in the space of 4 minutes. (7 periods total. My school is basically shaped like a giant L, but one end of the L has two floors, where the top one holds language stuff (french, spanish, ELA) and the bottom one has math and social studies). My schedule is crazy enough that I "run" from one end of the school to the other at least 3 times a day.

@metaltao My father is a philosophy professor at a university about an hour away from where I live. We actually lived in that area for around 6 years, but moved because the town was too small for us. He also is one of the two biggest geeks in our family. (The other one being me)
