  1. So today, I had to give a 2-3 minute talk about my favorite book in Language Arts (it's Ready Player One by Ernest Cline) and I decided to wing it and write up my speech in the period before. I don't know what's more sad: that I actually had like 2 months to write the speech or that with my extreme glossophobia, it sounded exactly the same as it would have if I had planned way ahead of time.

  11. @vt3c @scriboos @redenchilada @caret7 @techdisk Good ideas, everyone. I would probably do something really cool, were it not for a few things: 1) I'm broke, so I can't pay for hosting 2) As with most of the Linux I muck around with, it wasn't on for very long before I had to turn it off 3) Even if I could keep reasonable uptime, my parents are REALLY stingy about me opening ports on our router (risk of hackers and all that jazz), so that would be possible only if everyone was at my house.

  18. @mrmattimation Scratch is OK for simpler stuff. Last year, there was a Science Olympiad trial event (not official event, but to see if it might become one the next year, which it didn't D:) for it where you had to build a game with it onsite with a certain judge-announced theme. I got 6th place. ONE PLACE AWAY FROM GETTING A MEDAL

  19. Blurp. Decidedededed that I really needed to arrange Gerudo Valley for someone, so working on that for guitar and trumpet (one of my friends has been playing guitar for 6 years and the trumpet for 2, and I've played guitar for two years (both of us play mainly classical, mind you)). YEY

  24. So I just watched 2 different versions of Talk Nerdy to Me (parody of the sorta-popular Jason Derulo song) done by different people w/ different lyrics, and the one difference between them besides lyrics is that the background music and saxophone solos on one of them is just ONE HALF-STEP above the other (One ends in F# (like the original) while the other in G). THE BAND GEEK IN ME IS NOT OKAY WITH THIS

  30. So, my dad might show me Bowling for Columbine later today. I didn't even know what the Columbine Massacre was until a few weeks ago.
