Whenever I read "coworker" I tend to misread it as "cow orker", like as it was an orc cow.

Number of working 3D printers is now up to two. It was hellish to reassemble the hotend again for the third time. I'm also thinking about printing a again a whole set of replacement parts just in case.

I believe a bird is eating my tomatoes. I had a low hanging tomato near an edge and it had a suspiciously deep hole.

The apples are mostly sour, firm, mealy, and have a papery skin. The person who has planted the tree was a baker and used them to make apple pies. I ate a few of them fresh and they are OK, however they are excellent for apple sauce.

A family member has a house with a garden and their apple trees have so many apples that they are falling on their own and rotting on the ground. My mother and I were picking apples today and we could only manage to get 30kg of apples before our baskets were full. Yet it barely a dent. There is still a ton hanging.

This week I grabbed 3 IKEA Helmer metal drawer units, two for 15€ each and today one for 10€. I'm printing grids in overtime. Each drawer takes 3 hours for their grid to finish and there are 6 drawers per unit. I don't want to think about the time and material to fill everything with bins. I think I'll pivot to more specialized containers without over-constraining them to fit not only one model of tool. For example a basic shape for my metal and wood files should suffice, like a cylindrical cutout.

Job had it gorram easy
about 9 months ago from web-
@scribus Got the job you were interviewed to recently?
-
@adiwan Well, yes; and - I briefly thought I'd lost it before even starting, too! We have termites at the house. The job is work-from-home. I cannot leave for a fumigation in my first month! But there's an alternative treatment that can hold them off until work will allow me three days away. And then, that post, I had meant "Job" like the proper-noun Bible Guy because HAHA here I am thinking I got pre-cherryed for no reason other than God likes torturing his Sims. But I guess it's OK. But I also feel like crap because I panicked and got shouty and hit the walls and scared the cat and dog.
-
@scribus Congrats and BIG OOF. I know exactly what you're getting through. One good thing happens and 10 bad follow on its heels. Termites on the other hand seem to be like a biblical plague in comparison.
-
-
And I hadn't been wanting to say a damned thing about the job because of exactly getting screwed as soon as I claim anything good has or ever could happen in my life JUST LIKE WITH THE TERMITES

Not fearing over a dead battery that dies within of two hours is a huge relief. A whole day idling and it has more than half of charge. It lost only 20%. Meanwhile my Blackberry is permanently plugged in to the charger and will be only used as an alarm clock and email station.

Official RGG Summit prediction: they’re skipping Yakuza Kiwami 3, going straight to Dead Souls
about 10 months ago from web-
@zeldatra At this point they are rather remaking 1 and 2 again but with the RPG mechanics from 7 and 8 than overhauling 3. Realistically I see them showing some new footage from Stranger Than Heaven. Maybe they'll announce a new Gaiden game. A Gaiden game with Saejima as protagonist would be the most probable one if any. Personally I would like one with Akiyama and Hana-Chan.

I got two IKEA metal drawer unit on rolls for just 30€. They also contained a drawer organizer inlay, a network patch cable, a 8GB USB drive, a birthday greeting card, a newspaper page printout, and a few cent coins. I haven't looked what's on the drive yet because I need to find my EEEPC to use it as a sacrifice if it may be malicious.

Updating my new Android phone has serious Windows Update vibes. Right after installing a system update there is a next one to install.

I'm already missing the indicator light for whenever a new message arrived. So handy when I'm not at my phone and return back to it.

Finally my new smartphone arrived, the Xperia 10 VI, for 250€. 100€ less than I tried to order in May. Now I'm transferring all my data. Only hassle is that I can't use my old SD card because it wants to format it. Have a spare one and it is fine.
