  1. @adiwan It does but no Turing support. AKA I can’t use the extra ray tracing processing power of a 2080 to speed up render times, since Blender Cycles is all ray tracing.

  3. @adiwan Ah yes, an app developer

  4. @adiwan You get a lower price to performance ratio doing that. Ray Tracing is all the 2080 has to offer over a 1080ti

  5. @adiwan Used 1080Ti usually under 600 USD.

  7. @adiwan Little known tidbit. People will seldomly bother you with 'stunts' like this as long as you bring a cameraman.

Silver tongues and bluffing get less done than the game of acting like you are doing something legit.

  8. @adiwan I'll play that game with you

    What is 320 Euro's ?

[ Looks it up ] Well, used ones are more expensive than new ones, I am about right on the price though. Not that I would pay that for that.
[ Looks further ] ... I think I would buy an RX 5700 if pressed to buy one RN. Way more umph en par to a RTX 2080, However it is team Red.

  10. @adiwan Genuinely looking forward to it. It reminds me of when I saw the stage production when I was younger.

  12. @adiwan Condolences ? Nah this is going to be great. Unless if people actually die that is. Probably fine, I mean it worked last year.

Though I did had the idea of iso-blankets like 3 months ago but I never actually ordered any. Too bad, I could have used like a hundred or so. Ahwell pretending to be a plant and squirt myself will have to do, especially at siesta time.

  13. @adiwan I am going to camp on those days :D

If I was not so terrified about the possibility of people dying when they put up their tents I would be making a joke about it :D

I also have to 'survive' there for some 11 days.

  14. @adiwan I do not know what bakelite is. Nor do I know what that circuit boards looks like but I guess that is where the pro comes from ( picture please )

Now you might want to check before you begin if the thing is 'smart' enough to not go out of bounds and destroy itself. I did a little bit of reading on them machines.

  16. @adiwan So they used VR and 3D printing to help seperate conjoined twins. You do VR and 3D printing... Are you pondering what I'm pondering? https://time.com/5627206/safa-marwa-ullah-conjoined-twins/

  20. @adiwan Desktop Linux distros are fine but after a while but I got tired of FrankerZing with them. I'd rather use my computer to make stuff than have tinkering with it be an end unto itself, because it makes me crazy.

  21. @adiwan That's nice for you, but we were talking about a Mom. I actually have a Chromebook for my tech self though and it's serviceable. It's easy enough to tear apart if you want to, but even staying inside the framework that Google has set up gets you pretty far since it can run Linux, Android, and ChromeOS.

  23. @adiwan You forgot the clones of Luke named Luuke and Luuuke ( no really ).

But yeah, fair point. All movies have severe faults and cracks in them. However it took Disney only 2 mainline movies to break the fandom. The two biggest sides seem to be those who absolutely love it and defend it so hard till their mind seems to break ( warning, 2 hour podcast of someone whose mind seems to break defending the movie https://youtu.be/bXs0LXqK2SM ). Those who still come out with movies why it all sucked and why it is all going to hell. I am not even sure if that 'side' is actually truthfull when they shout 'Please make Brie Larson a Jedi, let it all die !' or not.

Meanwhile I like to see myself as in the middle and heavily in the minority.

Imagine a kid creating a beautiful sandcastle on a beach only to come back the next day to find out that there is now a squatter playing with 'your' sand castle. Surely you can share, right ? But part of me still goes "You know, this could have been better

  24. @adiwan Reminds me of a story, now the details have been lost to time but I distinctly remember that somehow a professional looking "anti-anti virus" sign being made for our local version of a computer convention.

"128 of the best selected virusses to nuke down your pesky anti-virus" "Pester your system with Sircam, Nimda, Klez, Sapphire, Gaybird, NuclearRAT, Sasser, Blaster, and all our other pattented 'lifesavers'" ( You may have noticed that those are mostly famous virusses from the first half of the 2000's )

Some people actually inquired for our 'product' on the day of the convention. One of them actually wanted to use it because he would be fired sooner or later.

Morale of the story is... Virus Killers are snakeoil these days, attacks are most likely to come from within. Like BadUSB, No AntiVirus gonna protect you from an angry employee.

... Or dumb mother ? Idunno.

  25. @adiwan I know where you are coming from but no. I do not accept things like grimoire cards for something I would have liked. ( This doubles as a Destiny jab )

I do not need to remind you that Disney upon acquiring the Star Wars franchise the first thing they did was declare all the extended universe stuff un-canon. I might as well just skip the middle man and start to read fan-fiction.

Hell, come to think of it. 3 months ago I chuckled at CuckleFhuck... Fluffle PuffleChuck... one of those things, hold on let me get the thing I remember

  26. @adiwan Everything dies if you hit it on the head hard enough.

Except Captain Phasma. Mark my word she will either be in the next episode/movie shrugging off a critical hit on her head, or she will not be in the next episode/movie at all making her character fit in between Watto and Fodesinbeed Annodue.

All I wanted is some amazing woman be awesome. Not for this woman to be wrapped in tin-foil and have less screen time or impact than Admiral Motti ( http://rainbowdash.net/url/874904 )

Heck I could write her in a more epic space opera and I am drunk half the time.

We start off with StarKiller Base being under New Republic's command with Captain Phasma pretty much being the head honcho when the Supremacy, multiple dreadnoughts, some Interdictor Star Destroyers ( they block hyperspace and communications ) to take over the facility. Then later have Kylo force-choke Phasma on display and throw her to the floor. Helmet flies off, and you see her eyes as she surrenders to Snoke.
