  1. @ceruleanspark I'd rather you didn't, if it's all the same to you.

  2. @astra @ceruleanspark Grrr, just realized that I hit the reply button on the wrong one, somehow. Darned accidental thread migration! I should totally be sent home.

  3. @ceruleanspark Oh, wow, very nicely done! :D

  4. @ceruleanspark Oooh, yes, cheesecake ice cream definitely survives when melted. Still, glad you were able to keep it in its intended condition. And listening to some pony tunes as well, as I wrap up lunch. (Just finished "The Astronomical Astronomer's Almanac to All things Astronomy"; now on to "Fearful Tears Fall of Celestial Desperation".) Definitely helps with the decompression. And far better than painful household accidents, in my not-so-humble opinion.

  5. @ceruleanspark @remembernovember I'd like to be a trowel. (Sorry, I just couldn't resist.)

  6. @ceruleanspark Glad to hear that the ice cream emergency was averted! I was curious for a moment there of if the ice cream is at least a flavor that still tastes decently as a soup. ;) And, after your note comparing the fun you're having with that game to the enjoyment of being shoved down a set of stairs repeatedly, yes, it does sound like time to pop something else in there. Either that, or you have an enjoyment for being shoved down stairs that I'm not quite comprehending (though, hey, to each one's own). ;)

  7. @starlightbolt It'd be a ridiculously weak argument, but you could. You could also say that it's that whole (also weak, considering this is a privately-operated entity, and not Congress passing laws) first amendment freedom of speech argument. Just as I could say that it's my ninth amendment right not to have to put up with it.

  8. @ceruleanspark Eep? I didn't mean for that to come out as an oh-snap moment, so if I did, sorry about that. But, yes, ice cream and video games on a slow night does sound like a good plan (though I'd more lean toward a good book and a fireplace, as I did last night when it was rainy and blustery outside, but if my honey was over, I would totally break out the games, since she loves those).

  9. @ceruleanspark Doing well enough, and more or less. Looking forward to decompressing a bit during lunch shortly. How are things there, other than apparently dead-slow?

  10. @pinhooves Yay, cool! :) Not directly about MLP, but definitely MLP-related, as well as a good read.

  11. @starlightbolt Hm. Never knew to begin with. Good to know, then.

  12. @pinhooves In case you haven't heard, you might want to grab today's copy of the Vancouver Sun, and turn it to page D18. (Or just read it here, though an article with Daniel Ingram in it is something you might want to keep a physical copy of.) :) http://www.vancouversun.com/Life/Hare+freshener+Wascally+wabbit+weturns/5724787/story.html

  20. @communistprime I was just thinking about this yesterday, wondering what ever happened to it. Sorry to hear that she's fallen off the grid. I hope that she pops back up soon, and in better emotional and financial shape.

  23. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony That is really nice of you to consider doing that! Probably nust not really worth the hassle, though. Would you believe that Amazon.de is selling them for €8,99? €8,99! That's just a little over twelve bucks US! Quite cheap, especially compared to folks on eBay selling them upwards of three times that. Unfortunately, I've learned that "Bitte beachten Sie: My Little Pony 34142 - MLP Adventskalender kann nicht an die ausgewählte Adresse versandt werden," is German for, "No ponies for you!" *pout*

  24. @pinhooves As much as I loved Toronto, when I practically lived there for a few months 5 or 6 years ago, most likely BC, by virtue of being closer, and also being easier to get to dark skies. I'd probably head more toward Chilliwack, since I've been there a few times over the last few years, and really liked the area. Vancouver is just a bit too urban for me. (One of the reasons I very seldom go into Portland proper.)

  25. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony Argh! How dare you show me that, just for me to find out it isn't available on this side of the Atlantic except from a few overpriced eBay vendors! *pout* Seriously, though, that looks pretty awesome. :)

  26. @zach I've been eyeing the Canadian border for a while now. I'm only a four or five-hour straight-shot drive to it, if the excrament strikes the rotary oscillator. Love it up there. The people are nicer, the ketchup tastes better ...
