  1. @punbot Bah! I have it on good authority from the Elders of the Internet that it's at the top of Big Ben, for optimal reception.

  2. @ceruleanspark Awww, such a little cutie! :D

  3. @ceruleanspark Agreed (though that sort of applies to any age group, really; I know plenty of people in their 40's who just never made it out of early puberty, in terms of mental maturity, while I've encountered 12 and 13 year olds who were wise and self-disciplined beyond their years).

  4. @pinhooves Yay, get yourself looking sharp! :)

  7. @ceruleanspark And I'd be reduced to a blushing, but very happy Sugarcube. :D

  8. @ceruleanspark Well, unless you subscribe to theories of an expanding and open universe, in which case it's theorized that the rate of expansion causes the maximum limit of entropy to increase faster than that of entropy itself, in which case heat-death may never be achievable. And there's also the "Big Bounce" theory, where a state similar to heat-death exists just before re-explosion, but isn't truly heat-death because gravity is too uniform, and, therefore, entropy is actually kept to a minimum. But, well, we're talking theory, and one could theorize that conditions could arise such that ****storms cease to occur here. Most of those involve the system itself ceasing to exist, though.

  9. @ceruleanspark I would be very OK with this. It'd be proof that I'd gone completely around the bend, but I'd be very OK with this.

  10. I try to take the train to work, but, sometimes I just have to drive in. The fastest route takes me out into the country, past a variety of farms, one of which is a big apple orchard. Very cute, rustic place, with road-side advertising akin to the old Burma Shave signs. I stop in occasionally for apples, and to check out their crafts and yummy treats. Nowadays, when I stop there, I have to laugh, thinking that the place feels different since I started watching MLP:FiM. I joke with myself that I might catch some orange, red or yellow pony working the orchard. After stopping by this morning, I wondered what my reaction would be if that ever happened. I'm somewhere between having myself committed, or putting in a job application. (As for trying to talk, or give a big hug, I'm a shy sort, so I'd probably be too tongue-tied and brain-frozen.) More likely the former, though I'd hope that they'd let me work that farm for my OT. That's a delusion I wouldn't mind staying in for a while.

  12. @stormyhugeheart If I do, I didn't create it, and it's cleverly hidden from me such that it acts like no such profile exists.

  13. @stormyhugeheart Other site?

  14. @dezzierose Sometimes, it's best to just go with it, and don't question it, when those happy moods come along.

  18. @ceruleanspark Sounded like it. :( Very sorry to hear that. I hope that things pick up there for you somehow, and soon.

  19. @ceruleanspark Hello, Blue. :) Better than I was for most of the weekend. How are you holding up, there?

  20. @pinhooves Actually, they're called Safeway in parts of the US, too (such as around here). :) Glad to hear you got a nibble on the job hunt! :)

  22. @theonepony And I don't feel like having someone whine that a post of mine is objectionable because their narrow little mind considers it to be something they don't like. "Normal"? Really? My apologies that I don't comply with your idea of "normal". Feel free to block me, if you don't agree with what I have to say.

  23. @theonepony Really? Did I shine a light in her window? Did I approach her "car"? Did I peer into her "car"? Is it really possible to turn a turn signal on to signal changing MESSAGE THREADS?!

Sunday, 06-Nov-11 03:38:39 UTC from web in context
  24. @theonepony I was? At what point?

Sunday, 06-Nov-11 03:36:22 UTC from web in context
  25. @zarkanorf I fear you may be right. It's getting so, unless we're uttering banalities about video games, we have to walk on eggshells to figure out what is "safe" to discuss, for fear that what we say might be considered by someone as "RP" or "spoiler" or some other such objectionable nonsense.

Sunday, 06-Nov-11 03:34:59 UTC from web in context
  26. @theonepony But it wasn't an RP! It wasn't a scene! There was no action, no movement, just silliness!

Sunday, 06-Nov-11 03:33:29 UTC from web in context
  27. @theonepony THAT was RP?! That was me being silly. Has this place gotten THAT paranoid over RP?

Sunday, 06-Nov-11 03:22:39 UTC from web in context
  28. @shydash Well, then, I'm an idiot right along with you. I liked it, too. :)

  29. @fluttershy321 License, registration and insurance, please. Do you know why I pulled you over this evening, ma'am? Mmmm-hm. Well, you changed forum threads without signaling. @metal had to swerve like crazy to avoid an accident, ma'am . . . (Sorry, I couldn't resist. Carry on.)

  30. @communistprime Hey, that works! Have any particular favorites, there? Though, unfortunately, I have been known to smash two words together inadvertently, sort of an oral traffic accident, often with embarrassing results. (By the way, Wainwright? Wow, you weren't kidding about the contrast in temperatures! BRRRRR! Stay warm!)
