  1. @mrdragon Knowing @purpletinker, that's going to take some time. We should be patient. They don't call it summer of code for nothing. Also, not helpful that previous workers of BronyCon are spreading not-quite-truthful material about her. #

  2. @doates I am just one happy-go-lucky pony that gets yelled at every day by people calling in complaining that their Internet isn't working... then become apologetic when its fixed. Especially if its a Ethernet light issue on the modem. :P

  3. @mrdragon @ceruleanspark Good news everyone! RackSpace cloud says that it was a Bandwidth Accounting bug! They are refunding me all the money.

  8. @mrdragon @ceruleanspark I have no idea what the hell happend. I am assuming RackSpace screwed up, or we did get hack. In either case, I have to call Billings tomorrow and possibly speak to the network admin in texas to investigate. The old server has been deleted, so I am going to assume that an exploit for attempted DDoS was done, or, we were the middle man in a smurf attack. Which begs the question... who was the target? or BWrape attack.

  9. @techdisk42 The site is only 8 gigs! WTF is this 3TB coming from?!?!?

  10. @renovatedkitchen has nothing to do with the old server. I'm sure this is a mistake, but I'd rather that the truth be brought to me before I get nasty surprise from Billing when I call them to investigate... is it even possible to download all that in one month???

  17. @minti We did try this as well, the computer was locked up. AND WANTED IT FIXED NOW!!! But I don't fix computers. I'm not a PC tech, I am a Data Tech. I fix packets, not hardware/software, even though I am qualified. We have a whole other department for that. Plus, she said she has been through other ISPs and "they suck". What does that tell you?

  18. @eaglehooves I had one woman who said "the task manager isn't appearing. he must be out to lunch". I was pretty sure she was irate and being sarcastic when I asked her to push ctrl+alt+del at the same time to open the task manager in windows 7. Ended telling me that the ISP broke her computer after I recommended she take the computer to a tech. says I was no help at all! #

  20. MODS! LISTEN TO ME! Being yelled at for blah blah... because someone does not like you or otherwise your decisions or help, think about how cops feel. They don't. # but still, a woman had called me a "computer freak" at work simply because I asked her to clarify what she meant when the "mat was broken on the router" I understood she meant "NAT". She also said other mean things when I was escalating to the next level of internet support, and it got to me, but then I remember that nothing she said could have hurt me. So don't worry.
