@communistprime Ok... Here goes. NeoMarxists differ from traditional or vulgar Marxists in that they do not believe that the proletariat revolution will come as Marx predicted. Instead, they believe that the proletariat has been so deeply ingrained into the current system that such a revolution will never occur. There are many theories behind why this will not happen. The popular theories include Gramsci's theory of Hegemony which states that the ruling class will make small concessions to the the workers to pacify their ire in order to maintain control. So, while the oppressed celebrate their small victory the dominant still enjoy their comforts and continue their suppression. The second theory that comes to mind is Althusser's Ideological State Apparatus which claims that institutions are used as a form of repression upon to maintain order. Unlike the police state or martial law these institutions inculcate the social norms through mental conditioning i.e. schools, churches etc..

Here's what I think: this place is PRETTY COOL. If you want to badmouth how it's gotten so terrible and how it used to be so much better, at least take a moment to think about what, specifically, you find so objectionable. Just saying "it sucks now" is counterproductive and just feeds a negative atmosphere. Saying that "certain people" are the problem is even worse, because not only are you playing the blame-game, you're also unwilling to be the change you want to see when you don't like something. Either learn to ignore others and move along if you have a difference of opinion, or speak out - in a civilized manner - about it. Offer a solution, otherwise you're not helping anything. Stop complaining and do something productive.

@communistprime I think that http://mlp.wikia.com may be the place to collaborate and research the pony take-over of http://en.wikipedia.org. There is nothing to it but to do it. There is also a really nice http://simple.wikipedia.org which really needs our help. Any thing that has @fnordly in it (Does it need to be at the beginning of the message?) will be incorporated as I find the time. As frankly my dear Starshine pointed out, there is a war raging out there and pony-related stuff may be being attacked more than others. We shall see. Either way, have fun. It will not cause anyone any problems if, for example, you and I were to be working separately on the same article, either. If one of us were to get ours deleted for some BS reason, the other one could post "without knowledge" of the BS excuses for the other being deleted. Anyway, you already helped by showing your support and by posting 1430 or more times.

I wanted to tell you, if you get a chance to look up Wednesday night, there will be a very pretty lunar eclipse going on. :) It starts at 17:24 UT -- I think that's 21:54 in Afghanistan? -- but will start to get really pretty around an hour later. Anyway, not sure if you're into that, but, if you are, there you have it. :) Thought about you, since you're one of the few people here who would actually be able to see it, and it looks like it'll be a good one!

Okay I'm gonna be really sappy now, ponies. I'm honestly so happy I decided to join Rainbow Dash Network. When I first saw it I wasn't sure if it was something I wanted to do since I have so many accounts on so many sites I never visit. But this is different. This is a real community where everypony is noticed. I always felt like I never belonged when I was in other communities and it just made me feel so alienated. Now I have a place where I feel like I belong and that I can be part of something! I'm so happy I joined, so happy I found out about Ponies. It's all changed my life for the better and I am very very grateful for it. Thank you, everypony, for making this fandom what it is! With that, good night everypony.
