@critialcloudkicker What keeps me entertained is the fact that conversation never becomes boring or repetitive. That is in my opinion the kind of compatibility people should look for.

@critialcloudkicker Yeah, that sounds about right.
-
@critialcloudkicker I love that show.
-
@critialcloudkicker A OpenOffice fork.
-
@critialcloudkicker I dunno, maybe.
-
@critialcloudkicker Yea I know but it's my way of saying that I'm proud to own a 4 thread machine and hyper threading actually works if I turn the hyper threads of and run gmod I lose 20 FPS
-
@critialcloudkicker Ok, NOW I can believe that GTA V will be a super big game in regards to storage space. Oh well, guess I'm just not gonna get it.
-
@critialcloudkicker The first person option would be so strange to use without it being a mod. Because it will actually be a legit made first person, and not a mod that just moves the camera in the face of the character with camera issues if you move it too fast or look behind you without your character turning.
-
@critialcloudkicker Actually that's not true my PC has an i5 dual core with hyper threading.
-
@critialcloudkicker I'm running Windows 7. I could install 8.1 or even a developer preview of 10 but I don't like 8 and 10 is a bit too experimental for me.
-
@critialcloudkicker I'll install debian a bit later when I finished installing Windows. I have an i7-5820k CPU.
-
@critialcloudkicker HD Audio is just newer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_High_Definition_Audio
-
@critialcloudkicker My case has a HD Audio and AC97 port. I chose HD Audio.
-
@critialcloudkicker I have a dual-boot system. I'm kicking my left boot for Windows and the right boot for Linux. It's more efficient. Also I can download a legal version of Windows for free, as a computer scientist student. So why not making it a dual-boot?
-
@critialcloudkicker Haha. Actually I have a good chuck of games I want to play with max settings. My old PC wasn't even able to get them running on the lowest settings. GTA 4 for example barely run. Skyrim (that I finished) ran smoothly with medium settings and on a resolution of 1024x756.

@critialcloudkicker Wine offers an "Internet Explorer". But it's more like an open source browser that acts like the IE for compatibility reasons.
-
@critialcloudkicker I've been using Avast for quite a while as it doesn't really have an impact on performance.
-
@critialcloudkicker There are Linux AV programs like Clam AV but they scan for Windows viruses. I think that Kaspersky offers an AV for Linux. But yet again it is intended for (mail) servers to scan for Windows viruses.
-
@critialcloudkicker I use my Linux system for all the browsing and sensitive data. So I'll be less affected by those hijacks.
-
@critialcloudkicker TL;DR Yea I will stick to Avast anti virus just to be on the safe side of things and scan any detatchable media from "friends" ( lord I know I need at least that )
-
@critialcloudkicker Browser Firefox. No antivirus. Antivirus programs slow down the PC, break programs or the OS sometimes, and it is snakeoil. Antivirus programs don't work by default. If they solve the "Halt Problem" it would be worth installing it... but noone can solve this so far.
-
@critialcloudkicker With enough goons launching him...
-
@critialcloudkicker Back then I used it a lot more because I went with my DSLR a lot and it looks nice in my PC case.
-
@critialcloudkicker If it catches flight, I assume so. These things are hit and miss though. Sometimes I make a crappy edit and it gets 300 notes, sometimes it gets 5.
-
@critialcloudkicker You know what? You're right.
-
@critialcloudkicker You wouldn't punch a perfectly healthy guy, would you?
