@arcanis I think it mostly depends on the teacher. I had a history teacher who was willing to do one-on-one presentations (just you and the teacher) if public speaking gave you panic attacks

@hakupony You're lucky. I used to be very social, but I had it bullied out of me. I'm trying to not be so shy, though, and I'm getting much better.

@hakupony Yeah, I'm sure there's ways, I'm just usually too shy. I am getting better about that, though.

@arcanis Yeah, it's difficult to just approach someone and start talking to them. It's much easier to do this online since you can find communities for people with common interests and, as such, you have a starting topic to discuss.

@arcanis I don't know if one could say I have a lot of social interaction, either. I go to school and I talk to people there, but I don't really make connections. I don't tend to initiate conversations while I'm out in public. I seem to have better luck meeting and connecting with people online than in person.

@arcanis I don't like to make people feel bad. I tend to automatically assume I've insulted people when given responses like yours (it's an issue I'm aware of and try to fight) and I don't want to take the chance that I might make others feel the same. I try to make it obvious that I'm joking around to avoid that.
