!calgary !college http://oat.nu/b6q9u Final grades are in. Can't rightly complain.
-
!calgary !college http://fav.me/d4ipeyh Hard to believe, but by this time on wednesday, my first semester will be completely finished. || 'course, it'll probably take a month to get my final mark for COMP. *shrug* can't win 'em all.
-
!calgary !college Still waiting on the results of my math midterm, but I just got the marks for my latest design assessment. It was enough to bring my grade up, meaning I am now officially maintaining an A+ average in all of my subjects. I never even saw an A+ when I was in high school. I made a spreadsheet and everything: http://oat.nu/btk61

!college Now THAT was a fun class. Watching the expressions on everyone else's faces as our instructor tries to explain 2's compliment and cyclical number systems (which, thankfully, I already know) was absolutely priceless.

!calgary !college This week in Communications class we're doing impromptu presentations. It's not very impromptu, though. The way we're doing it is that we send our instructor a list of three topics we're willing to talk about, and then a few minutes before our presentation, she chooses one of those three topics and we have to come up with a presentation for it. Though since we already know ahead of time what the possible topics are, it's not that hard to be prepared for them anyways. Like I said, not very impromptu. || So, come friday morning, I'll be doing a presentation on either: Reliability of Wikipedia Articles, Analysis of Series-Parallel Circuits, or My Little Pony. Though our instructor says she has a knack for picking the topic we're least interested in talking about, so I guess it's going to be Wikipedia.

!college In other news, I made an OR gate out of switches and wires in Elec lab today. If I could figure out how to cobble together a NOT gate to go with it, I could make.. well, anything, theoretically.

!college My COMM256 has us doing the Kiersey Temperament Sorter as part of our homework. I really hate those things. 71 questions, most of which are fairly ambiguous, and some of which are downright nonsensical. Then for each question, you have to choose only one answer, from a set of only two possible answers, which are almost always NOT mutually-exclusive. || I could only honestly and accurately answer 26 of the 71 questions using the options provided. So I decided to copy down all the questions and write out honest, accurate answers for all of them. I saved the file as "Pulling teeth.docx" || Oh well, at least now I know for sure that I'm an Idealist. Science said so.

Just realized that it's 6PM, and I've been on here since... 2 or something xD - During these past four hours, I had intended to figure out what my "final" tomorrow is on.. I still have no clue :P !collegebronies
-
@nimblehaste Eeek - I hope there's not a final! That'd be a surprise! !collegebronies
-
!collegebronies I hope so hard that this Trigonometry class doesn't have a final exam. There isn't one on the grading sheet, but you never know...
-
@ponybis ;~: Where do you live? How old are you? :U The only reason we can do this is because we are !collegebronies and VT is the ultimate brony campus

!college I had a text-book I kept from the first class I ever dropped. Today, it saved my bacon when I realized the story I was writing about for my final essay actually wasn't printed in the assigned textbook to cite. Funny, though. I own this book from the first #college course I ever withdrew from. English 1102. What am I using this book to pass? English 1102 at another college.

!college pre-finals week sucks. The only thing more bothersome is actual finals week with the stupidly-broken schedules.

@libbylishly Wow, that's kinda awesome. XD I find it amusing that most of my professors who love their subject have the issue of being sidetracked into passionately pursuing a related-but-not-quite-related question if you ask it right after they cover a similar enough subject. It happens the most with my math and physics professors. !college

Scheduling classes for next fall, and strategically keeping Friday 1:30-2:00 clear. Celestia help me if they change MLP's time slot. !college

@libbylishly In the end, I did try. It was half of the required length, and will likely be 0 for missing submission criteria, with a 2.0 at best if the professor's feeling particularly generous when he grades it. !college (The lesson here is: Double check your syllabuses every other day so that important turn-in dates don't slip by unnoticed. )
