  1. @2cold4me I'm enjoying my music, while not being sure if I am enjoying my friend panicking due to his relationship becoming unstable after he ignored my advice to not rush stuff or not.

  3. @thunderboltpony Hey you, not doing well?

  4. @widget For me, personally, it's the random glitches. I can't trust systemd to shut down my system correctly, because in at least 1 out of 10 cases it will completely freeze during the shutdown procedure. Ignoring that, and after getting through the initial shock of it, it's actually a pretty nice tool with a lot of power, and .service files are easy to write. You can't start or stop something with an argument, though ("systemctl start mpd panic" won't actually pass "panic" along to mpd (not that MPD has such a feature, but it's an example)), so you need multiple service files for every option you want. Besides that, I do somewhat like it. It's the little issues every now and then, of which I wished they wouldn't exist after 2 years of development, but it surely has some nice points and if it works as it should, it's pretty fast.

  5. The best part of "Rescue Mode" is when it freezes when you try to get out of it and resume normal operation. #

  6. Today, an 8 year old boy called me a "cool cowboy". For some reason, people can't help but associate a fedora with cowboys. Still, it was cute and funny.

  7. @greenenchilada It's for my second High School "graduation paper", which is due... somewhere in 2014 :P

  8. @greenenchilada The yellow part is supposed to be similar to those "Interesting but not really important" things to add to some "How to" guides. It's not perfect yet, and the colouring is way off, but I think the main idea is nice :P

  9. I suck with colours, and it could use a bit more mark-up to make sure it looks good, but the basic idea is nice. # # http://ur1.ca/bjwvd

  11. @juicyorange @ceruleanspark If you port it over to a PC, you at least make sure the GUI gives the correct controls. But no, it's not a good game for PCs at all, and the controls are quite clumsy for it.

  12. @mushi I own Devil May Cry 4 for PC. It is LITERALLY a console port. The whole interface still refers to "A B X Y" and "Right Analogue Stick" and all that crap. They've been INCREDIBLY lazy.

  13. @juicyorange Devil May Cry. Which appears to be Japanese for "Let's Rip People Off" or something like that.

  14. @juicyorange Yes, yes I have. My taste is a lot better now, though.

  15. After going through some stuff I listened to when I was young, these are the only two songs I can still appreciate. http://youtu.be/IKqV7DB8Iwg (meaningless lyrics, but manages to hit somewhat even despite the slightly weak beat in the song. The girl on the start is annoying as hell, though) and http://youtu.be/pw8PpYBiDsc (a classic, still).

  16. @redenchilada The idea of a hybrid desktop is fine. I think the GNOME team is handling it fairly okay-ish (not perfectly either, the applications are a bit hard to use on a normal desktop, but the window manager would be perfect for both desktops and tablets). At least better than Microsoft. Still, I haven't seen anyone do it perfectly. Canonical's Unity interface has too small buttons, GNOME's GNOME3's applications have such big buttons they're not good for desktop, etc. We'll see if someone does it perfect :P

  19. @mushi TIL: Designing a clock with 10 numbers on it is infinitely harder than designing a clock with 12 numbers on it.

  21. @redenchilada Because America uses the same system. You can't call yourself better than someone else if you both do something exactly the same way.

  22. @renovatedkitchen With all due respect, their system is nothing more than rebelling against the British. They were like "Gah! Great Britain is stupid! We must get its culture out of ours!" and therefore invented their own, somewhat-silly, metric system.

  28. @whiterose Sorry for the late answer, was playing some Machinarium. I'm doing fine, I guess. Music keeps me going, and I can visit my owner this weekend again (due to her parents having been married for 25 years), yay! Also, I'm somehow starting to understand how my system works, I think. And even if I don't, dependency charts look beautiful :P
