  1. @ceruleanspark I love how, at the third panel, the card is literally touching his face.

  3. @unhipdruid TAFE? What is that?

  4. @unhipdruid It's always fun when things you actually NEED for school is blocked. Really, we'd be a lot better off without any filters.

  5. TIL: My sysadmin has port 23 blocked. Well, there goes telnetting :(

  6. @jojoax If they only disabled their DNS servers, Tor is enough to bypass it. If they really shut down their ISPs completely, good luck connecting to the "illegal server".

  8. Remember Egypt in 2010? Eeyup, now Syria is completely offline: http://www.renesys.com/blog/2012/11/syria-off-the-air.shtml

  9. I think my ISP might be trying to keep me away from http://www.eff.org/. It won't connect properly normally, but loads practically instantly under Tor...

  10. @madflavors My keys are slightly sticky, and I literally have no clue why. I must've dropped stuff on it one day and been too lazy to clean it well. And my mouse gets pretty dirty pretty quickly as well, but I have sweaty hands :x

  11. @redenchilada Put a camera in the book to register your face and if they see another face put up an arrest warrant for you because you've been sharing illegally.

  14. @ceruleanspark Fair enough.

  15. Dear Firefox: Why do you have to hide all the normal tabs if I also open Private Mode? I want to use both simultaneously. Dear Chromium: Why do you not have a libre version, because you actually do that stuff correctly? Dear other libre browsers: Why do most of you not even have a private browsing mode, fail at rendering the most basic of pages or act just like Firefox?

  16. @ceruleanspark I'm not sure why you're actually doing that then, but yeah, charity is good. I didn't spend that much on the last bundle, and forgot to give the Humble Bundle guys something (I completely looked over their slider, for some reason), but at least I tried to minimize what I cost them by using the torrents :x And, yay, soundtracks :P

  17. @xrevan86 At least they had a huge banner and we'll still get enough Humble Bundles. The reply to this is easy: Vote with your wallet. If you want them to do more bundles which also run on Linux, buy the Linux bundles but not the other ones :P

  18. @ceruleanspark Seeing how I can't remember having liked any of their games, and all their stuff appears to be Windows-only, there won't be any loss for me. At least the Humble Bundle guys were nice enough to make a BIG HUGE BANNER about it being Windows-only which you can't possibly miss :P

  19. @ceruleanspark " Please note: the Humble THQ Bundle is Windows-only and requires Steam to play. Sign up to get notified of Humble Indie Bundle 7!" Well, another one to pass up on. I remember when everything from them was cross-platform, and not Windows-only or Linux-through-WINE. It's a shame, really =/

  20. @omni Turns out it was Freenet. I didn't even know I had it running (and I'm surprised it was running, seeing how it is completely broken for me).

  21. I love unexplainable up- and downloads on my GNU/Linux system which is also a server. Could anyone help me find out what's happening? If I find out what process is up- and downloading so much I should be able to find out the rest, but I can't find anything which explains it...

  22. @hayseed I'm stuck in Nethack, but besides that I'm doing fine. How are you?

  23. @zeldatra It's a shame people are actually stupid enough to do such stuff. Like, what happened to common sense?

Thursday, 29-Nov-12 15:33:14 UTC from web in context
  24. So, after 15 minutes of NetHack, I figure out you can OPEN doors. Oh wow.

  25. @commanderlunacymambo I talked to myself about wanting a report done by tomorrow, like a boss would tell you right before you were planning to go home just to make your day a bit more miserable.

  26. @commanderlunacymambo @omni I want this report to be done by tomorrow. I would appreciate it if you could stay a bit longer for that. Thanks!

  27. @ceruleanspark Well, I could script something to hide it for myself or so, or just not look at it. It's a bit silly to seriously consider doing stuff just for me :x

  28. @ceruleanspark I don't have a TV guide, and I purposely not read it so I don't know what the episode will be about :(

  29. That episode summary better be fake, otherwise: DAMMIT, RDN, Y U SPOIL!

  30. And here I am, in Informatics class, not being able to do anything because "shortcuts only work for installed software" and, therefore, I can't start our Java editor and compiler. Got to love our sysadmin.
