  1. @windoze Oops, that should've been !rdnrefresh.

  2. @windoze !mintrefresh and !rdnrefresh will both do what you want, if you're on a desktop. On mobile... no idea.

  3. @gearbox if you'd like a nice autorefresher for RDN you might try either the !mintrefresh or !rdnrefresh script in Greasemonkey (for Firefox) / Tampermonkey (for Chrome)

  4. @nerthos When I was originally writing the script the fear was overloading the server with too many requests. As long as the refresh interval isn't too quick though it's not doing much. ~ I haven't touched # in months. As a result I have no idea what the current status of it is. :/

  5. @widget - Looks like # is breaking every so often. I'm getting an error with the function toLowerCase - which looking at the current version seems to be caused by a lack of a username prior to the conversion? The username is defaulting to administrator only sometimes though even though it's wrapped in a try. I'm guessing it's just the cookie call failing from time to time (and it seems to be only on profiles and groups). ~ Just a thought. It's also breaking on the mainpage (only the mainpage apparently) on a toLowerCase as well; which seems to be either in hideSpoilers or hideUsers because the error references a '.each' as the container.

  6. @thatonepony That might get me to switch back to !rdnrefresh… I really like !mintrefresh though…

  7. @equestrianbrony You also get buttons for decoding/encoding rot13 as part of the two commonly used auto-refresh scripts available for this site: !mintrefresh and !rdnrefresh (to get one, click one of those two links, and follow the link in the group's descriptions; you'll need to install Greasemonkey or Scriptish first if using Firefox, or install Tampermonkey first if using Chrome). !mintrefresh has generally fewer features, but seems to refresh a little faster, at least on my system. !rdnrefresh has a lot more features, and quite a bit of customizability. Both have their good points, so I'd say try both (remember to remove one before installing the other, though) and see which you like. I'd definitely suggest that you get one of them, though, since auto-refreshing makes it much easier to keep up with the speed of conversation on this site. (Aside: this notice might well be the closest I've come to hitting the notice length limit here.)

  10. @ponyguru Welcome to RDN newpony! There's not much, just dash(post in rdn language) stuff, use the little green arrow at the bottom of each message to reply, heart to favourite, recycle to repeat, and join groups and place an exclamation mark in front of them of them like this !example to dash stuff related to a group. You can also use !rdnrefresh or !mintrefresh to keep yourself up to date with what's going on on the public timeline without having to manually refresh. Have fun and don't feel shy about asking for more help if you need it, we're all more than willing!

  12. @greydragon412 @djvinylpon3 Or !mintrefresh. I prefer it, _but_ it's somewhat more buggy right now, so I'd say !rdnrefresh is your better option, at least for now.

  21. Hm, !rdnrefresh seems to have entered a state where it only works intermittently. Each time it stops working I can click pause and then play to fix it, but it's random how long after that it will keep working for.
