  1. I think when I make skillet dishes and the like in the future, I'll include carrots. They add a nice little sweetness. #

  2. @fluttershy321 It's reassuring knowing exactly what goes into what one makes. Ingredient lists can hide things.

  4. @fluttershy321 I've made vanilla frozen custard and chocolate frozen yogurt. I don't eat much ice cream, so I've only used it from time to time. If I were to make it with someone as a partner exercise, and split it with them, I'd make it more often.

  5. Caramel apple candy pales in comparison to a real apple with caramel on it, both in flavor and nutrition.

  11. @remembernovember So I finished it just before I headed off to the farmers market, but I had to make lunch (it was delicious) and the image is currently being compressed after scanning (minimizing disk space taken up) which takes a while even with a fast CPU. # #

  16. @redenchilada @greydragon412 Plus, if you don't check the checksum of your HTTP download, someone could inject malicious content much more easily than over Bittorrent, which checks the checksums anyway.

  24. @remembernovember Or 'flavor notes' that are present in pastries. I mean, they seem 'fancier,' but I wouldn't want to spend four or more times as much on just those traits.

  25. @remembernovember For example, a croissant is packed full of butter (fat) and folded, while a cake doughnut is dropped in oil (fat) and flipped.

Sunday, 06-Nov-11 15:03:50 UTC from web in context
  26. @remembernovember In reality, pastries usually aren't that much healthier that doughnuts. They're just not as meticulously made for 'perfect texture', which I don't care about anyway.

  30. @ceruleanspark He's joking about how celebrating something involving blowing stuff up (like the Gunpowder Plot) would get people jailed in America. It's funny because it's true.
