  1. @magicalheartcadence Actually there's people active here 24 hours a day, so there'll always be someone to welcome you no matter when you join ☺ to make your usage experience with this site much better, I suggest getting either !mintrefresh (recommended) or !rdnrefresh

  2. @tarby To make it auto-refresh the timeline for you, acquire either !mintrefresh (recommended) or !rdnrefresh (these are both greasemonkey scripts, so make sure you have either the greasemonkey extension for Firefox or the tampermonkey extension for Chrome, depending on your browser.)

  3. @pinkiepiewarrior I recommend acquiring either !rdnrefresh or !mintrefresh at your earlier convenience. It'll make your life a whole lot easier. Naq lbh'yy or noyr gb ernq guvf jvgu whfg gur pyvpx bs n ohggba.

  4. @lyrica @artisia Yes indeed, I highly recommend !mintrefresh but if you prefer !rdnrefresh is also available. These will automatically update the timeline without you needing to constantly refresh the page, making the web interface far more usable.

  5. @pony !mintrefresh does have some features that !rdnrefresh lacks, though.

  6. @caberea !mintrefresh or !rdnrefresh

  7. @minti @lyrica I prefer !mintrefresh now for the way it handles mention highlights, but I do miss the new post highlighting from !rdnrefresh.

  8. @nerthos I switched to !mintrefresh when !rdnrefresh wasn't working and decided to stick with it because I like the way it highlights mentions better. I still long for an easier way to see new posts though, like what the line marker in my IRC client lets me do.

  9. @thatonepony That might get me to switch back to !rdnrefresh… I really like !mintrefresh though…

  10. @minti It was fixed in !rdnrefresh, couldn't you examine what that code is doing and apply something similar?

  11. Hm, !rdnrefresh seems to have entered a state where it only works intermittently. Each time it stops working I can click pause and then play to fix it, but it's random how long after that it will keep working for.

  12. @hugmaster Join the !rdnrefresh group, then it's always one click away in your sidebar.

  13. !rdnrefresh 2.3.2 is highlighting the administrator name instead of my name.

  14. Updated to !rdnrefresh 2.3.1, still not seeing my name highlighted.

  15. @widget Using the link on the !rdnrefresh page results in version 2.2.9 being installed as a separate script instead of upgrading the already installed script (which is also version 2.2.9). This results in the loss of all configuration settings if the previous script is then removed.

  16. Looks like the lag cleared itself up overnight, so that's good. I've got !rdnrefresh re-enabled too.

  17. !rdnrefresh custom style checkbox re-checked so I can keep @minti's awesome !Spitfire Network logo up on the page ♥

  18. @minti It's a feature of !rdnrefresh

  19. @minti !rdnrefresh saves its setting so it's not lost when refreshing~

  20. @minti Also I hope you don't mind if I use !rdnrefresh to set it as the logo for me too <3

  21. @minti If !rdnrefresh would let me set a background COLOR instead of only a background IMAGE, I'd just use that and turn off profile designs. But alas.

  22. Posting has been exceptionally slow for me today… it seems to coincide with !rdnrefresh being updated, but I can't imagine that could be related. Anyone else experiencing a long delay between clicking the send button and the post actually going through? (I don't mean appearing in the timeline, I already know that's delayed in the new version). Particularly, is anyone who doesn't use the script experiencing it?

  23. This may actually be a bug: in the current version of !rdnrefresh, it seems that the "new post" highlighting gets cleared regardless of whether or not the tab is focused.

  24. There's a bit of a flaw in the most recent version of !rdnrefresh: timestamps no longer get updated at all without a manual refresh. Also, the "new post" highlighting isn't cleared until another new post comes in.

  25. !RDNrefresh is AWESOME. This is now pinned as an app tab in firefox, something I could never do with Twitter. Now if only I could get twirssi working with this site… it seems to be hardcoded only for identi.ca instead of just status.net in general =/
