  11. @mushi son, Brazilian Portuguese pronounces the L at the end of words as "éu", and you have the gonads to come here and say English sounds UGLY?

Sunday, 13-Mar-16 01:07:54 UTC from web in context
  13. @metaltao considering the fact that we were like, 3 or 4 years old at the time I'm gonna have to say no

Sunday, 13-Mar-16 01:04:00 UTC from web in context
  14. @tiffany language, and English as a prime example, thrives on contractions, shortenings and abbreviations, the more people try to cling to the past the harder, and faster it will change, and as can be seen today, the harder it is to learn or to use correctly the easier it is for it mutate to something COMPLETELY different and the original language will die (eg. Latin).

  15. @rarity once my mom bought us a coloring book that was desert themed, it was mostly sand, palms, camels and racist depictions of middle eastern people (complete with turban, long beards and scimitar).
We used all the yellow and brown... we had to buy another whole set of crayons just to finish the damn thing

  16. @awl there would be a lot less dumb posts on social media for starters

Sunday, 13-Mar-16 00:53:27 UTC from web in context
  17. @tiffany I've actually pondered about this theme
it's not that it's on a decline, it's that most people only know basic conversational terms and a hand-full of adjectives, to those people such a level of understanding is more than enough to fulfill their lives' needs, but on the other hand people who study language have a vastly superior grasp on it, as well has a much more extensive vocabulary, to them this knowledge is the norm and the standard from which they guide that observation.
So, having that in mind, such an observation makes sense, but it's a hasty generalization

  18. @tiffany I have been advised by my sister's gf that I should say "My Fiancee's forehead is best forehead" to prevent future torture

  19. @vcgriffin I'm having a deja-vu, but I'll get a headache if I don't come through with it

  20. @metaltao the art fan in me says "cool"; the Biologist in me says "Get that mango out of here", and the Engineer says "I'm getting a Raspberry Pi and a bunch of parts, I wanna see if I can make it run DOOM"

  22. @mushi My sisters do that with me when need a "bug repellent" and are not in the mood to deck someone's face into their skull.

  24. @metaltao how the FrankerZ do you breed circuits into skin?

Sunday, 13-Mar-16 00:13:04 UTC from web in context
  25. @mushi depends on the dragon type, no matter who you are or what you personal thought of big flying reptiles you have to say
Ancalagon the Black was the most metal thing ever written into Lore

  26. @metaltao why does your dragon have circuits drawn all over?

Sunday, 13-Mar-16 00:07:32 UTC from web in context
  27. @tiffany dude, that is WAY beyond friend behavior, me and Red do that ice and salt thing, and trust me, that Fluffle Puff is the most further away from "just friends" you can get without sex or rings being involved.
Also, unless you are in an extremely crowded space, or if she doesn't know where you are going and you have to hurry there is no such a thing as "Platonic hand holding"
