Probably Stuck Between Dimensions
(Yes, I know this place is back. No, I don't plan on returning; I just don't fit in with the whole "4chan vibe", as I heard it described recently. Anyway, if anyone wants to keep in touch, catch TryshaGray on Twitter. Otherwise, have fun, and keep it pony.)
Not all ponies miss out on all that Princess Luna has put together for her show after she brings out the moon! Me? I do some of my best work and spell-weaving when the stars come out. Besides, I tend to be the sort to keep to myself, a lot of the time. Lately, I've found I'm a lot more of a "Twilight Sparkle" person, though some still say I have a very "Fluttershy" personality, right down to being more likely to talk to your critter companions than you, at first. It takes me a little while, but if I don't get too badly spooked, I'll open up. And if you see me suddenly pop out of a moon portal, or catch my eye hovering in the sky as I try to find someone or something I've lost again . . . sorry about that. I really try not to startle people too much with this stuff. It's just so cool, though!

@sonicdash Hey, that sounds like a fun night out, then! :) I hope everyone has a good time, then, and that your friend's studies in Italy go well. (Wow, what an incredible place to study architecture!)
-
-
@sonicdash Sure, I can do that! :) And some roller coasters I can handle, oddly enough. If the back support comes up at least to the tops of my shoulders, and any upside-down stuff is accompanied by forward motion (i.e. no stalling upside-down in a loop, or hovering at the end of a rail before going backwards), I'm usually good. Anything that misses those criteria, I'll just go get a lemonade and wait for you at the exit ramp. *sweatdrop* :) Anyway, I hope that car wash is the last of your going outside for extended periods until things cool back down. Looks like you live around Fontana? Had to do some work thee for a few weeks in the middle of summer back about 10th years ago. Not pleasant (especially when coming down from the upper Midwest). :p

@zachariastargazer Yay, way to go! :)

@mrdragon Ehhh? No, VLC is definitely still around, and is available for darned near everything.
-
@sonicdash Just noticed that about the weather by you. Yeah, you're about 20 degrees warmer than us right now. Ugh! I hope that you're keeping cool there!
-
@leonkfox VLC plays them beautifully. :)
-
@sonicdash Eep! Not an adrenaline junkie. Typical introvert brain make-up: over-sensitive to Dopamine, which adrenaline creates scads of. I'm not even big in scary movies. Sooo ... yeah. You can have my share of adrenaline. :p ;)
-
@silverpony Awww, thank you! :) Yes, I just sort of check messages here from time to time through the day, and write back when I find something to me, or that piques my interest, or happen to see someone new peeking in who's being nice. :) Anyway, I hope that your day is going well! Yay, Friday! :D
-
@sonicdash Oooo, you can go for it! I'll be going down with the plane. :D Seriously, though, I wish I wasn't so terrified of heights (or, more specifically, the sudden stop at the end of falling, which my mind makes me thing I'm going to do at any moment). I can't even manage a ferris wheel, for crying out loud. :(
-
@carcino Ohhh. In that case, no, I'm not trying to, since I've no idea what it is.
-
@sonicdash Oh, not nearly so bad here. It's down to 70 outside now, so it's a lot more comfy than it was earlier. But, yes, as far as getting the old laptop back, it really is rather odd, since I probably could have gotten a new one easily enough. (Though I probably won't get a new Macbook once this one croaks; I haven't liked them since they made it so it takes a tech specialist just to replace the battery, especially after watching the one I got with mine start to swell up after a couple hundred charges.) I just know all of its quirks, though, and its all tuned just the way I want it. :) I can imagine that it's the same for yours. Anyway, yes, very much looking forward to the weekend, and some time with my honey before her schedule changes, and we don't have the same weekend for a while. *pout* So, we'll be making the most of it. :)
-
@mrbrown M-hm! Exhilarating for couples to do together, I understand. Though, again, fear of heights dictates that, so long as the engines are working, wings are attached and landing gear is functional, I remain aboard the aircraft until it has come to a complete stop at the gate, and the captain has turned off the "Fasten Seatbelt" light.
-
@carcino Uhm . . . Afraid that I don't get the reference. Or do you mean that's all that will be left of you if you climb too high and fall off of a mountain. OOH! That reminds me of another non-traditional date, though: sky-diving! :D
-
@carcino Oh, not all. You could take her to a movie or some other show, or just to a quiet, picturesque vista. Or rock climbing. Don't laugh! Haven't done a rock climbing date, myself -- I am deathly afraid of heights -- but I hear that it can be quite the bonding experience for couples, and all that excitement does get the heart pumping, and the adrenaline going. ;)
-
@carcino Ooooo, well, in THAT case, there are some really nice fondue places with very intimate atmospheres. That can be quite romantic. Or, if you can set things up with a nice fire, low lights, get fondue pots with lots of different cheeses, and perhaps some chocolate . . . a little wine to go with it . . . That could make for a nice, romantic evening.
-
@carcino Mmm, well, vote's still out, there. Besides, jokes aren't the only form of comedy. And you're the one who oh-so-seriously summed up her likes as bugging you. :p Surely, she must have other things she likes.
-
@carcino Hmmm. In that case, a nice dinner in an upscale restaurant, in a secluded booth. Preferably with hidden cameras to catch the comedy that will ensue.
-
@sonicdash Yes, I know that I was REALLY happy to get my old Macbook back recently. :) Just easy to miss things that become so familiar to you. And, yes, it was a pretty busy day, though not unbearably so. More just a long week overall, and needing to recover from it a bit. I definitely hear you about the heat, though I can imagine that it's even worse by you. I hope that you have good cooling!
-
@carcino Oh, yes, of course, please. *long silence* Oh, you meant our conversation? Sorry, I get sidetracked. Anyway, "earth dates". Right. Well, do you know what sorts of things she likes?
-
@sonicdash Yes, I remember that you were looking forward to that coming in so you could get that fixed. Glad it worked! And I'm doing pretty well, albeit tired. Glad it's almost the weekend. How are you doing?
-
@sonicdash Hello, there! Yay, glad you got that working! :)
-
@carcino Hmmm. Well, what are you looking at budget-wise?
-
@princesstwilightsparkle !twilightfans Awww! Are you kidding? I'd love to break out our telescopes and have a wild and crazy night of stargazing. :) And magic? I think we could totally jam. *nodnod*
-
@carcino Ahhh, I see! How far along have you gotten with them? Just hanging out, dinner and a movie, parking under the stars, a night of dancing and . . . uhm . . . terrorizing people, I guess?
-
@carcino Oh, yes, absolutely! As a couple, you two look really cu-- *cough* I mean, you seem to have a certain chemistry. :)
-
@carcino Oh, fiiiiiine. *pout* . . .
-
@carcino No! :p That's too sweet to stop.
-
@carcino Eeeee! That is just so CUTE! :D I love it!
-
@carcino Now, all you have to do is Photoshop those two picture together, and you have an absolutely adorable couple photo to send out with your Christmas cards! *ducks and runs* :D
