So I have come to the conclusion that I hate when people use run on sentences on the internet just as much as when they have terrible spelling and grammar. Bonus hatred for those who do all three at once.

@egnaroesroh Nevermind! I have managed to split my computer screen into 3 sections so I may do both at the same time!

@thelastgherkin Bigcrownthingy!

Welp, I've got my icy cream and my show all set, so I'm off to go enjoy myself. G'night all!

@thelastgherkin Cow!
-
@thelastgherkin Hey!
-
@thatonespecter Well I suppose. Where is this going?
-
@thatonespecter If they're robot people and emotionless, then there's no point to reading the story other than possibly grasp the language better or maybe to apply some part of the story to your life, though it's often hard to relate to something when you can't do so on an emotional level and have to rely on cold hard facts. I believe one of a story's goals is to provide some form of entertainment through one emotion or something similar, but not an emotion per se (ex: Sense of adventure) which makes reading a story seem somewhat pointless if they're robot-like.
-
@thatonespecter So that I'm on the same page, what does emotionally crippled mean?
-
@pony They have a whole song where they sing their mating call in it. They're already horny. *gets shot*
-
@thatonespecter The question at that point would probably be why do you read stories then?

@ceruleanspark GREETINGS SELF-CLAIMED SUPERIOR BEING
-
@abigpony It's not a matter of whether it's extreme or not, it's a matter of how well they're able to convey it. I don't know what genre's you like, but making everything not an extreme would make things a bit bland. For example: If you were to make a sad story, you can do it poorly by not giving any emotional buildup and making the characters not worth caring about so that we could care less when the sad moment/moments happen. However, give them characterization and story and you just might make people care what happens to them (maybe not cry, but you should still be able to relate or feel something) Now let's say you wanted to make this sad story not an extreme. It's reasonably harder to garner emotion from a story about failing a test, compared to losing a friend (It's very possible though, which proves it doesn't matter how extreme or not) This being the case, if there were only one genre for middle ground, it'd be like having the emotional range of a robot.
-
@abigpony =( I can take them seriously, I'm just able to realize they're practically an entirely separate entity from the actual tv show and can regard it as such.
-
@abigpony Listening to the song, yeah, a few parts don't work syllable wise, but this was mostly from memory as to what the song sounded like. Still, it's almost entirely singable to the beat sans those few parts.

Where have has all the daytime gone and why is there no sun? Where's the book smart prodigy to fight the cruel Discord? Isn't there a dragon upon his noble steed? Late at night I toil away to find out what we need. We need our heroes! I'm holding out for the elements to set things right. They're loyal and honest and kind to a fault and that's just what we need here tonight. We need our heroes! I'm gonna pray that those six mares make it out alright. They need to act soon, or they'll spell out our doom. What will happen as we sleep tonight? As we sleep tonight...

Okay, eyes are getting watery again. Guess it's time to sleep. G'night everyone.

@ceruleanspark When you look at it that way, I guess being able to do things you normally couldn't in real life is a double edged sword, huh?
-
So an interesting point has been brought up from my game. Does a blind person's dreams mainly consist of feel, smell, and hearing instead of seeing?
-
@trister I have the Hub. I could see if the episodes are listed and you can watch 'em from youtube or something.
-
@rotation I can't imagine just falling to break a disc. You would probably need it to be bent to break it I imagine.
-
@rotation Did you expect someone to take it or something? Maybe that proves you had fair reason to toss it out.
-
I have returned and brought pastries with me.

@rotation Yea, I suppose. I have to say that I notice Pinkie Pie has really been stuck to the "throw last line in conversation to get a laugh in" an awful lot in the season.
-
@rotation Not much. It's awfully quiet at night.
-
@banditen But they sing! I mean, that's been almost a requirement for season 2 episodes now.
-
@rotation Hello
