@abigpony I do not know the backgrounds of this paticular argument but I do see where many gay people et their attitutude against crtitscism from. Basically, before you even think against getting out of the closet, you try to deny how you feel or even change it - because you don't want to be a "freak". so when you are out and happy with yourself, you still remember what harm some words did to you and what they made you think about yourself. But still - I'm enough of a democrat to accept that there are opinions which differ from mine. I do my best to convince people of my POV and attack the arguments of the other site on a reasonable basis. For me, the real propblem is that some people just can't stand disagreement...

@sliverfeather People who say anything is "for the weak" is just being ridiculous. Everyone has other needs (and some needs are universal) and you can't say that certain needs are "weaker" than others. That's just as ridiculous as saying black people are dumber than white people (yes, I purposely grabbed something absolutely ridiculous, no, I'm not racist).

So my friend asked me, "What did you do last night that was so awesome?". I replied, "My non brony friend was fascinated when he heard the subject clopfic. My friend and I were joking about it, and he was curious as to what it was... He googled it and found the worst possible ones and read them aloud as we were laughing at the poorly written dialogue.", yeah... Nothing weird here.
