The Sonic Generations Collector's Edition that I ordered on Ebay a few days back (not going into the whole thing with Amazon messing me over on my first ordered again) should be arriving today, so I'm sitting around anxiously waiting for it to arrive, but I was also waiting for a rental copy of the 360 version since my PS3 is busted. You know what will be really irritating? If my Sonic Generations Collector's Edition arrives before the Love Film Rental of the 360 version. I'll have the game but will be unable to play it due to a Yellow Lighted PS3...that will drive me round the bloody bend. !sonic !vgp

Just checked my e-mail, earlier today I got a notification telling me my new Sonic Generations Collector's Edition has been shipped. Will be annoying if it gets here before my rental copy of the 360 version, sure it will be great to have it and unbox it, but my PS3 is broken so I need that rental copy to play it. (My PS3 yellow lighted and the only affordable one was on PS3) !vgp !sonic

But that's not all, I then get an e-mail from Amazon telling me that my Sonic Generations Collector's Edition won't be able to be delivered, as they seem to have lost it and I've been given a refund, and had to buy the cheapest alternative which is a PS3 one at £140 as others are 200 to 300 quid, I did have to pay double which sucks considering I played it safe and pre ordered it back in SEPTEMBER to avoid higher prices, but I should count my blessings that I was able to get one and can still rent it from Love Film to play it on 360. Talk about a bloody day! !sonic !vgp

@purplephish20 Oh believe me, there WILL be an unboxing video. I've seen other people's and knew I was going to do one, I always do when I get new games (which isn't as often as it used to be thanks to Love Film ^^;) especially Collector's Editions.

Man oh man, have I had one hell of a day today or what. Okay first off, my Sonic Generations Collector's Edition doesn't arrive despite the estimated delivery date being the 3rd to the 4th of November, a friend and I call up Amazon and find out I may not get it until the 12th which obviously annoyed me a great deal, considering I'd pre-ordered back in September to play it safe. Then said friend asks if I want to go to a firework's show in Newyend (I think that was its name, it's in Bristol) but on the way there our bus breaks down, and we're delayed by 20-30 minutes. We get there eventually, only to find we have no idea where we're going. We pull up Google Maps on my phone, but our location marker keeps fluctuating all over the place so we get lost several times. Only turns out I didn't have the bloody GPS turned on, and THEN we find out said firework display was yesterday...talk about a waste of time getting the bus out there.

@purplephish20 I didn't know the standard and collector's editions had different release dates, but that wasn't what effected me. What effected me was Amazon's bloody incompetence. I shan't be buying an expensive item from them again, especially not a collectible one.

@redenchilada !sonic It's pretty good. I mean, you can tell it was designed for controllers over keyboards, but if you plug in a 360 controller it play beautifully. I've had a small amount of framerate and crashing issues, but not much.

@redenchilada As long as you can run it it plays fine. I've never had it crash on me. The only really annoying thing is that you have to completely exit the game in order to change settings around.

So !sonic generations came out on steam, then I played it for ~6 hours, then I went to sleep, then woke up and played it some more. This is a good weekend.

Okay, I don't normally care about "Professional" reviews, but Game Informer took points off of Sonic Generations because it has levels from bad games like Sonic 06, regardless of the fact this game plays nothing like that game and should be judged on how IT plays? People wonder why I don't read professional reviews from ANY site anymore. I'd hardly call that a professional way of judging a game. !sonic !vgp

!sonic Looking at the logo for the Sonic fan group I'm curious which of the two is cooler. Rainbow Dash might be 20% cooler but that doesn't sound as impressive as "Way past cool".
