@mrmattimation thank you, the cancer is in remission so no need to worry too much right now but I don't have a lot of faith in that term at this point

Today I had a database problem too. For some reason, after an update of my debian installation, there was no MYSQL service installed anymore. I had to remove the mysql-server package and install the mariadb-server package to get it operational again.

@adiwan Apparently mariaDB doesn't consider "We're changing the syntax for built in SQL functions" to be a sufficiently breaking change to merit any sort of warning, so the site has been broken for 2 days because an autoupdate happened.
