@awl I'm already trying to get out of the HVAC service field due to "feast or famine" hours, bad benefits, and low wages. The stress will kill me long before I get to that $60K-$70K salary range. I need to get an onsite HVAC/Maintenance mechanic job somewhere (hospital, factory, school, etc.). Although if I do ever buy a place, I may be damn near dead by the time the bank no longer owns it. :P
-
Don't you just love being passed over for a job solely due to workplace politics?

@awl I don't know if I will ever live in a house. To rent one, one may need roommates to keep the bill down. I also don't feel comfortable being confined to one area by buying if I need to get a different job somewhere else.
-
@metaltao Tomorrow morning? :P
-
@metaltao How long will it be before you get into trouble again? :P
-
@metaltao By simple, you mean naughty. :P
-
@metaltao Burp.
-
I blew up some Tannerite. :)

@vcgriffin Workplace bullying is relatively common in the Unites States (I have seen it with my own eyes). It typically starts when an incompetent person (or people) views a highly competent worker as a threat. The incompetent bullies typically only have their jobs due to workplace politics. Their target is ruthlessly singled out, and the bullies go up the chain of command to get the target fired on trumped up accusations.

@scribus They played all of that music, but they couldn't be kinky? :(
-
@scribus Did the delivery guy/girl start flirting with you? :P
-
@tiffany Will the contents of that computer help authorities crack coded letters from the Zodiac Killer?
-
@scribus So...what exactly did you order from them? :P
-
@redenchilada Uh...get two different plushies instead?
-
@scribus Huh?
-
@awl I wouldn't blame them for that, given how stiff the trigger on the SKS happens to be.
-
@nerthos I haven't fired a G36. The civilian variants (SL8-1) aren't particularly common on the US market, and it can cost thousands more to convert it closer to the civilian configuration.
-
@critialcloudkicker I haven't fired 5.7X28mm extensively, but I found FN's Five-SeveN pistol to be pleasant to shoot. :)
-
@critialcloudkicker There isn't a "one size fits all" firearm, but I do prefer the Kalashnikov to the AR. It may not be as accurate as an AR, but it is more accurate than people give it credit for being. Not to mention it has a reputation for rock solid reliability. :)
-
@nerthos That doesn't stop AR-15 fanatics from peddling AK "inaccuracy" myths (some of them claim the AK is wildly inaccurate at 150+ meters).
-
The AR-15 is overrated. ;)

One of those "inaccurate" AK's got 7 out of 10 hits at 500 yards:
