@toksyuryel Being honest, I'm not really sure if I see the use of using tmux inside of a tiling window manager. It's tiling tiling-ness or so. Only sounds confusing to me. Then again, guess you could place it on a virtual desktop and tile a lot of SSH shells to different servers in it or so? Meh, maybe I'll find a use for it one day. Right now I don't really have any use for it though =/

@omni tmux isn't about tiling anything, though it gives you that option. Have you ever used a terminal emulator with tabs? tmux gives you that same functionality, but it's more robust because you can detach and reattach it at will. This enables you to do crazy things like leave it running with your irc client inside of it and then ssh in from anywhere and attach to it. It also lets you use any terminal emulator you want regardless of tab support. And if X crashes or for whatever reason you need to restart X, no worries because your tmux session just gets detached and you can easily reattach it once you've relaunched X.

Ok, found the problem. My sound card doesn't support PCM capture. I got audio from line capture but that's too quiet to be practical. I'm gonna have to either figure out how to set up a loopback or cave in and actually use pulseaudio. I really, really hope I don't have to do the latter.

@toksyuryel I wish i could help more. But if you do figure it out, i'd appreciate it if you could spread the word somehow. The only solutions i could find to other peoples problems so far require a bunch of unnecessary downloads all ultimately just being an indirect and non-definitive answer. Which aggravates me a bit. :P

@mashuga31 Most people I think take the "easy" way out and just use pulseaudio. But there is nothing "easy" about pulseaudio and I'll do everything in my power to never have to install it.

Does anyone know of an English term that is defined as the consolidation of all tie-in merchandise of an entertainment franchise? I need a word that refers to the entire collection of official released promotional products as well as fan-generated content that i can use as a generalization of all tie-in books/films/games/toys/posters ect. that arent a part of the original movie/show or direct subsequent sequels but still base themselves off of the original work. This is killing me.

@mashuga31 It's obviously a letter grade but they're putting it out of a number grade. The problem is that every course has a different conversion from number to letter grade and vice versa so I don't know what my actual grade it.
