  2. i remember when i was an absolutely terrible typist; basically pecking with my index fingers. Now i can type without even looking at the keys with full punctuation, numbers, and backspace when i need it (and it seems i need it a lot).

  13. @techdisk I know about the tutoring because I've been asked to be a tutor once amd declined (too much workload) and one of my friends is a tutor. They actually get paid for their time.

Friday, 28-Mar-14 02:53:41 UTC from web in context
  14. @vt3c there is on campus tutoring for a small fee and I think there's some sort of counselor help, but I'm not completely sure as I've never used it. I do know there are specific, free, math and writing help centers where you can just walk in and get one on one help with math and writing.

  15. @vt3c im the kind of guy who sits at home playing games until my mom tells me to get working, then I do work. I usually get around 80-90%. Sometimes 70. *shrug*

  16. @vt3c I have no way of comparing what my workload was like in high school compared to other high schools, but college has given me a lot more concentration in work. Sometimes I have basically nothing, the next day I could have hours upon hours.

  18. @snowcone So true. *gnaws on cellphone*

Friday, 28-Mar-14 02:39:02 UTC from web in context
  19. @vt3c honestly, its not really that bad. It is a greater workload, which is compounded by sometimes absolutely terrible class timings, (for example I have class every single day starting at 8:05 in the morning and on Thursdays I end class at 6:05 PM), BUT, High school prepares you quite well for the extra work and you honestly dont notice it much unless you put off doing your work. And no, missing one day of studying doesn't screw you up completely. Missing two days when you know there's a test, that's pushing it.

  22. Its funny. When I first joined RDN I really wanted a blindbag of Rainbow Dash. Now I have two. Yay.

  24. @oracle it sucks too. I was so looking forward to seeing the Oculus in action, and now Facebook's gone and ruined it for basically everyone. Yeah they have enough money to make the thing better, but nobody wants to deal with Facebook.
