@dlcentaur I'll probably try do some web development or something, again..
-
@pony Awesome! Thanks too
-
@dlcentaur I'm great thanks, need to find something to do today!
-
Hello everypony! I flapped my big lazy hooves out of bed, how is everypony?
-
@conventrix Hehe
-
@ponyray Epiiic drawing
-
@macpony55 Who wouldn't?!
-
@eaglehooves AMD merging with ATi to create the APU (merger of CPU and GPU) is the start of AMD getting into the super-low end desktops and portable computers, hopefully we'll see some much better portable computers soon
-
@eaglehooves They're comming :)
-
@mrdragon That's just an alien thing for me comming from Intel Core 2 for the past five years or so
-
@nerthos I think I might be seeing what you were saying earlier, my Phenom II X4 @ 3.3GHz with the stock cooler in a half-decent case is keeping under 40degC easilly acording to coretemp, the same program never saw my Intell Core 2 Duo get anywhere near that low with arguably a better case and a muuuuch better heatsink!! amdftw?
-
@nerthos you havent said cooling conditions but dont worry it doesnt even matter
-
@nerthos fine, well you havent said your PC's conditions or anything so yea.
-
@ceruleanspark Wut? ;_;
-
@cavatina I hope to keep this as it is for a good few years and if I need to then I can upgrade to a Bulldozer(or future version of) processor and/or crossfire my graphics card and give it even more years :D
-
@nerthos lol ok, well either you dont do much (I do video encoding sometimes, 2.0 gaming and massive multitasking, hence buying 8GB ram) my old Core 2 Quad got very toasty before I upgraded the heatsink, anyway, tonnes of people do it, it's necassary for people :P
-
@ceruleanspark lol I know right, ew I spent one to two hundred less GBP for my processor and I won't have to change my mobo before I upgrade my processor lol
-
@cavatina I will make it clear here this is a budget gaming PC, I didn't go mad with it I just wanted upgradable Mobo and Crossfireable graphics and such, £500 for that PC (700 for the eqiv pre-built gaming pc lol)
-
@nerthos What is it then? 60degC normally? 80degC when under load lol? stick a £20 heatsink on it and it'll never hit 80 (hardly)
-
@ceruleanspark I know I did! xD
-
@derpyshy What's that? "specs"? ok! 3.3GHz Phenom II Quad-core, XFX 5870 1GB GDDR5, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3, Case has red lights <3
-
Oh yea I forgot to express my not-liking-but-not-hating ;) ness over the fact windows can't run on a different chipset than the one it was installed on. Linux didn't give a poo, it booted, it backed up my windows files
-
@ceruleanspark No. I was aware of that when I screwed in my motherboard and realised the I/O sheild was sitting on my desk...
-
My beautiful RAM is speeding up my Win7 install, expanding the files used to take aaaages, is almost over already :)
-
@nerthos Srsly, a good big heatsink will take 10degC off a CPU and it can do that without a fan and your PC will get so much more performance for that, also hot gear means it gets worn down quicker (gets slower quicker and dies quicker)
-
@ceruleanspark Celestia uses her unicorniness to lift muffins and tea, that is why she is Princess
-
Also the heatsink I bought wouldn't fit (It should I think) so I have a wittle stock heatsink from AMD
-
"STOP BUZZING AT ME!!!!!!!" I can't wait to get into my OS so I can tune the fans lol
-
Hi everypony! My PC is built, 4hours went... like... sigh. IT TOOK FOREVER!!
