@adiwan Mostly the seasonal novelty and the fact of supporting the Scouts. They're all fine and good, but like Matt said, they're not exactly *exclusive* in any real way.
-
@adiwan I can vouch for the last bit, a perfect example is the marvel cape movies. They look just fine on tv or a cinema screen, but look at scenes in >1080 60fps on a high DPI cellphone screen and the actors look awkward, movement looks cartoony and poorly acted, you can notice the weird physics from cable pulls and all that.
-
@adiwan I'm not sure I'm ready for it to be over
-
@adiwan Somehow, the hi-tech option is less civilized...
-
@adiwan The high frame rate video debate is scheduled to be the next big generational tech gap, according to one headline I skimmed once online. "Gemini Man" will remain dumb, regardless.
-
@adiwan Throw a chopped potato and some prawns in with the rice, it's the only Iron Chef recipe I've been able to pick up from the show.
-
@adiwan buy a pressure cooker and you can cook rice and more in minutes.
-
@adiwan Not headless! Paint a Nerf ball and glue some felt ears on it.
-
@adiwan C# is honestly the best Java-like ever and this is one example why.
-
@adiwan Directly modifying the properties of an object?! No thank you! Use getters and setters. butt.enable();
-
@adiwan Neat! I always preferred custom settings, myself. Keeps the players from reading ahead, lol.
-
@adiwan Oooh, has Spelljammer had a 5E update!?
-
@adiwan Right on, hope it all goes well.
-
@adiwan Dang, dude... Sometimes, I roll behind the screen so that I can claim a nasty 20 was only an 18 or so.
-
@adiwan 2080 TI ?
-
@adiwan That is how I used to play Anno 1404 multiplayer, Untill I realised that due to Ubisoft's shoddy coding it would just grab the first network-interface ( of type X, where X is either wired or wireless ) to try to connect to other players.
Which is a HUGE problem if you have, for instance, VirtualBox installed since it creates a virtual adapter. -
@adiwan Just saying that I would not fork over 10% extra money for a whopping 4% extra graphical horsies.
Also I melted my cupholder that way once.
No I was not trying to boil water with a USB drive in that one. I am still looking for a suicidal/voluntary USB for that one. -
@adiwan Sounds about right, I just build a 3600 Ryzen 5 powered PC for my dad, Though it has only 16 GB of RAM and a GT 710 instead of 64 GB and a RTX 2080 Super.
No DVD drive though, who needs that in 2020 ? And if you do. Go USB the thing.
> I need a new case
Fractal design define R5 or S. Probably not the S if you want to mount multiple HDD's and a DVD drive up front.
Also I kinda remember Gamers Nexus saying "It is the card noone actually cares about" ( I had it running in the background while doing something else ) http://rainbowdash.net/url/875373 ... So beware on that RTX 2080 Super I guess. -
@adiwan Maybe they want the DNA evidence that it was someone on-staff that drank the Cola and as such build a case that you are not lying.
On the other hand... Pretty sure the RMA combined with the original postage plus the costs of the controller at 90% off is less than the DNA kit.
Wait, I got lost in the sauce as they say... Why do they want that Cola bottle ? -
@adiwan Then they're gonna be all "Why the heck did you send us this?" and you can be like "That's what I wanted to know!"
-
@adiwan . . . do it
-
@adiwan Wait a minute, Who drank your cola ?
On a more serious note, I hope you are at least gonna get your money back. I mean, I somehow do not think there are any controllers left. -
@adiwan Wait... what... Free cola with your Steam Controller ?
-
@adiwan I see no reason why the fruitcock would pick that up.
-
@adiwan Yes, it can be done though 4K footage, however you need to go through it frame by frame and you need someone to make best guesses as this someone scetches the fingerprint.
The real problem begins once we get 8K, people at Defcon estimate that is when you can get bots to scrouge entire video's en-masse looking for fingerprints, Kinda like how face-recognision software works in current era. -
@adiwan I am not going to use a weak 5V line to boil stuff. I mean I think with 100% conversion I'd be able to put 2.5 W into my water. Meaning 1 DTU would take approximately 25 seconds per teaspoon of water. So if I go from room temperature to boiling I would need to spend approx 40 minutes on half a cup of water.
And that is just due to the limitations of the USB line. -
@adiwan > The SanDisk one could be used to boil water, metaphorically speaking.
Methaphorical challenge accepted. Now I just need to find a non-ultra-slim that gets rediculously hot to boil something with. -
@adiwan I hear you, brother. Hartnell on the right, Whittaker on the left
-
@adiwan this is odd http://rainbowdash.net/url/875347
