Monster idea: Reverse Vampire. Can only be seen in mirrors, can't leave the house without being asked to leave, and injects blood to people.

Finally I have erected a second green house albeit a smaller one. The coming week I'll buy some pavement stones to get some stable ground to walk on. I hope my mild carpal tunnel won't get worse from carrying the stones.

I'm using up soil faster than my tomatoes can grow. I have small planting pots made out of coconut fibers that I've used for the initial germination. A few days ago the plants have become so big that the roots are coming through the fibers. It put a bit of pressure on my side to give them a bigger pot. I got them 10 times the room they had before, the size of a bigger shot glass.

I removed a 80kg stump from my garden. I started digging it out before Winter but today the weather was good enough for a while that the earth isn't fully saturated with water making it harder as it already was. I believe I pulled a muscle in my arms while I carried it to the edge of my garden.

Hmm... I need more 2€ aluminium 25mm diameter broom sticks but I bought them all. Hardware store tubes cost too much.

I'm glad I bought a (cheap) table-top drill press. I can't imagine myself drilling straight and parallel holes into a tube by hand. Last year I bought a bunch of these tomato planters with a support included https://i.imgur.com/HDY48bW.jpeg However this is a piece of trash when it comes to stability. The support is made out of several segments made out of ABS plastic that bend over time due to heat and weight of the tomatoes. I had several of those buckets fall over because it was so bendy. I bought 25mm diameter aluminium broomsticks (cheaper than a similar tube out of the hardware store). I had to drill some holes to set the height for the support rings.

@nerthos Aren't Japanese horse girls participating in running competitions the current meta?

The insanity never ends. It only gets more insane.

A group of crows is called a murder. That's common knowledge. In D&D, is a group of Bhaal cultists called a murder too?

Not that I was panicking but I am relieved that my car is fully operational without any defects. I had to give it to the mandatory inspection that has to happen every two years to a certified garage. At the same time I let the garage change my oil as it was slowly becoming necessary due to the distance I've driven since the last time. Everything costs me 310€.

Someone has put out old furniture and other stuff at my street. I yanked about 16 0.5m long metal tubes. I don't know what I'm going to use them for but I'm cursed with being able to craft something. Probably something for propping up beans or gherkins. It's freeing to make something out of trash.

Aaaah. JAVA. AAAAH. Every time I have to use it it stings in my brain. WHO the F thought it was a good idea to create so many damn subfolders? com/companyname/projectname/packagename/subpackagename/... This is how it's practically impossible to develop on Windows because the path lengths exceed 255 characters easily, which in turn makes it impossible to copy a project anywhere except for the root drive directory.

I *LOVE* unmaintained software libraries. At work I'm using a SDK for dotnet and its last commit was a year ago and not really actively developed. In the meanwhile Java and Python get almost daily activity. And I'm sitting here shouting explicit words seeing it not working using the simplest examples.

While shopping I remembered I forgot to put chili seeds into my pots to germinate. While there I bought some Cayenne. The Jalapeño last year were a disappointment so I hope they'll turn out OK. Two years ago I was gifted a Cayenne plant and from what I remember they were solid in quality.

@zeldatra OMG. It feels like RGG was phoning in this release, doing the bare minimum or less. I'm waiting for the inevitable sale in half a year.

Oof. Yakuza 3 Kiwami has some bad publicity before the release. Reports say that side stories are cut and the Dark Ties part with Mine is barely any longer than Kiwami 2's Majima story. Also animations are partially badly transferred from the original and the content that was added is also half-baked. I guess I am glad not to have pre-ordered that. I think I wait it out for a sale. I don't need any pre-order bonuses.

How I love JSON and deserialization. Debugged for days only to find out that a POST REST request with an empty JSON array makes the library I use throw an exception because it turns into null instead of an object. I used for my tests an empty object {} and it worked fine.

@nerthos I'm not surprised.

I also put in some radish seeds into the smallest mini greenhouse. My mother tried to grow some last year but did not turn out very well. My guess is that the heat was a bit too much for them when she tried.

I was preparing my tomato seeds today https://i.imgur.com/OKIcjAk.jpeg I didn't learn from last year and did more than I have capacity in my garden right now. I guess my neighbours and friends have to suffer when I give them all what's left over.

Today I had to make a new hole in my belt to make it smaller.

I made 140 reusable dry-erase mini plant tags for the upcoming tomato sowing madness. Last year I used cut-up plastic packaging but they were literally garbage as they were too small, flimsy, and due to the clearness also very hard to read. I've cut blank white plastic credit card sized cards into 1'' x 5/8'' pieces. They are put into a simple 3D-printed frame where the cut pieces clip in and are easily replaceable.

@zeldatra Probably they want to squeeze out the subscribers even more with this stunt. "Oh you really want it? Pay up for the special subscription to keep it!"

Watched again Kung-Fu Hustle after a long time. Not bad but my taste has shifted. It is awesome in parts but the second half is rather boring. The film peaks at the first fight with the three masters against the hatchet gang and everything after that slowly drizzles out.

Marvel's Wonderman TV series is actually good. The ending is weak but every other episode had some pretty good dialogue and acting.

Once again I have to rant about configuration files. I really hate them. No checks on build-time. Just runtime crashes with no or less helpful error messages. It's the bane of my existence that suck my life out of my body.

've completely DM'd myself into a corner I couldn't get out of. My players have effectively stopped the cult by storing the McGuffins to a bank into a magically protected and un-scry-able box. Anything to reverse that is a dick move. We decided to continue with one-shot adventures in the same world.

Aaaagh. Got my utilities bill and the prices sharply rose. I guess I need to start thinking about monetizing my 3D-printing hobby.

@nerthos It was an opportunistic watch without much thought behind it. It was more of an act of curiosity than anything else and yet I was disappointed. Are the Japanese so oblivious and do not care about the quality of the plot? I get it that that was a more fairy tale like one but it failed to be one in my opinion.

I've watched "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!" on Netflix. It has some nice vibes but the plot is brain dead. It tries to be clever but doing so it is hand-waving so many things that put too many questions into my head that everything falls apart.
