My week so far:
>Aunt, Uncle and cousins (Sam & the twins) come over for 1 week vacation
>me and Myra take Aunt and Uncle to the river for a swim
>return at night
>Sam is in tears
>one of the twins managed to drop a hammer on her laptop and now it won't turn on
>do the usual check up
>it's a HDD problem (probably dead, most likely boot sectors are damaged)
>take a 4h drive and buy a new Hard Drive, no HDD of equal size at shop, decide to take an SSD instead
>install SSD, it shows signs of life
>all systems nominal, only damage was on HDD (and a dent on the case, but it's metallic so I can buff it out later)
>install old HDD on a external case (bought at store)
>chkdsk; attempt to recover data;
>no data is recoverable, but the HDD will probably be usable as an external from now on
somehow the hammer landed on the laptop just right so it would only cause a surge and wipe it clean
It's was a million-to-one chance

@scribus By noticing that I guess you are the correct person for me to ask you "Do you think it is safe to even make a Facebook account ?". I heard stories of circles of friends breaking up because of that stuff. Combined with the fact that I work in the healthcare sector I never even bothered with Facebook

@tiffany Google Docs gets a lot more apple than they diverse, specially kuz they actually take input from the users and add new function all the time

@zennx I have a handful of issues with the document app itself, and I find Sheets to be pretty unpleasant to use, but MAN I could make spreadsheets all day

@zennx It doesn't destroy itself, so it's pretty much the opposite of a panic button that makes it insanely difficult for your opponent to do anything about it (not to mention that you can have 3 "Umi" in your deck (NOT TO MENTION THAT THERE ARE TWO OTHER CARDS IN THE GAME THAT HAVE THEIR NAME TREATED AS UMI WHEN YOU PLAY THEM SO YOU CAN HAVE 9 UMIS))
