@vanillabelle Yup. Schedule's more packed than last semester, too. Only upshot is that class ends at 1 on Mondays.

!tes !vgp Does anyone else remember #Morrowind? And how there were only, like, three NPCs that the game considered to be "essential"; how, even though they were essential, the game would still let you kill them, and it would just give you a message saying "hey, that guy was really important, you might want to load an old save if you want to actually finish the main quest"; how it would let you keep playing even after killing them, and how there were still other ways to finish the main quest without them? Wasn't that just the most amazing thing ever, not to mention really fantastic game design? || In other news, I'm kind of annoyed with #Skyrim at the moment. Can't imagine why.
-
@thatonepony Lots of fun to be had, and certainly lots of technical improvements, but in my opinion, the second one was better overall !vgp

-
@derps Sure. http://steamcommunity.com/id/Puzzlemint/ add me so I can send it.
-
!calgarybronies Well, now that the #steam holiday sale is over, I still have some coupons and a game to get rid of. Specifically, these ones: http://oat.nu/53g4p || If anyone's interested in anything, let me know. || The game I can send through e-mail, but the coupons have to be sent through Steam's trading interface.

@vanillabelle Well, the PS3 sort of crapped out on us towards the end but it was good while it lasted. Thanks again to those who came! !calgary

!techponies Thinking of picking up a small (60-80GB) SSD to run a couple games off of. That, combined with the reasonable amount of storage space on my two remaining slooooooooow HDDs should tide me over until I can afford something with a little more breathing room. || Never had an SSD before, and it looks like my usual hard drive tactic of "get a WD/Seagate" isn't going to work very well. Anypony have any recommendations, or advice on what to look for? || Do keep in mind that I'm a starving college student, so budget is a big issue; also, I'm Canadian, so I'd prefer something from NCIX or DirectCanada; newegg.ca and tigerdirect.ca are also acceptable.
-
!calgarybronies Once again, since the regular meetup is cancelled this weekend, I'm hosting a mini-meetup at my house. It'll be the same time as a regular meetup (5-ish to 9-ish), so anyone who's interested is welcome, even if you can only stay for a while. Drop me a line at puzzledmint@gmail.com for directions if you feel like stopping by.
-
@eaglehooves Sadly, I've had enough hard drives die on me that I already know pretty much every recovery trick in the book. This one's pretty well fried. It's just a huge pain in the papayas because it had all my programs, all my games (including the two-dozen-or-so new ones I'd just finished downloading from the Steam holiday sale), and all of my recent downloads that I hadn't had a chance to sort yet.
-
@puzzlemint !calgary Fortunately, nothing substantially important was lost. More or less everything that was on there can be replaced. I just don't have any hard drive space in which to put the replacements.
-
!calgary Okay, so my main hard drive with all my programs and a lot of my other stuff on it just up and died with absolutely zero warning, so that's wonderful.
-
So... pony party at my place? || Since the meetup this week is off due to @darcyblue having other new year's plans, and since I just got back from BC and DON'T have other new year's plans, if any other !calgarybronies have nothing to do on the 31st, you're welcome to come to my place and have a mini-meetup. || I have a decent-sized basement room with a 42-inch TV to watch ponies on. And a whole bag of chips. ... we might have to order pizza. || Anyhow, if anyone's interested, fire me an e-mail at puzzledmint@gmail.com, so I can give directions, and also get a sense of how many people might show up. || Keep in mind that I live in the north-ish. Not far north -- just off centre street on 34th ave -- but anyone who lives down south may want to keep the distance in mind. And for anyone who takes transit, you can just take the #3 from downtown; there's a stop not 4 blocks away.
-
@blackelectric !calgary @darcyblue is the one with the keys, so as long as he's going (and I'm pretty sure he is), then the meetup is on. Either way, I'm sure he'll be able to offer definite confirmation as soon as he sees all this.
-
@blackelectric !calgary Well, I'll be there, and I'm sure a few others will as well. I just wouldn't expect a full crowd, on account of it being New Years. I imagine a lot of people already have other plans.
-
@blackelectric !calgary We have the room booked starting from 4, but most people don't start showing up 'till 5. Technically, we have it all night, but @darcyblue usually kicks us out at 9, for the benefit of those who have to take transit home.
-
@blackelectric Next scheduled meetup is new years eve, though I don't know how many people are planning on going. Regular meetups are every other saturday at the Sentry Box.
-
!vgp Oh, and before I forget, Bastion is on sale for $5 on Steam today. Buy it.

@wanderingbrony !calgary 'sokay, wasn't much to see anyways. If you raid the Superstore while you're up there, try to leave a Lulu Luck for me to grab tomorrow.
-
!calgary Well, I'm headed to Cherry Lane in about 30-45 minutes for a boxing day pony-sweep.
-
@wanderingbrony !calgary As it turns out, grandma needs to do some grocery shopping tomorrow, so I'll be going to Cherry Lane regardless. No idea when, though.

o/` They can be plain or fancy. They can be short or long. The simple white kind, the glow by night kind, with socks you can't go wrong. A gift as good as candy, a big balloon or blocks. They always come in handy, and nothin' says Christmas like a pair of socks! || When winter is turning your nose-y a little bit froze-y, socks'll make you feel comfy cozy! Who doesn't love to wear them? No one at all, that's who. The sparkly red kind, the wear to bed kind, it's nice to have a few (I know I do). Some folks enjoy new mittens, or a teddy bear that talks, or a picture book of kittens, but nothin' says Christmas -- MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS -- nothin' says Christmas like a PAIR! OF! SOOOOOOOOOCKS!!! o/` #minty || Merry Socksmas everypony, and especially all my !calgarybronies!

@wanderingbrony !calgary I might have time for a round of pony-hunting through Cherry Lane on boxing day.
-
!calgary @wanderingbrony I'm actually in Kelowna now. I'll be headed back to Penticton on Friday, then Kelowna again on boxing day, then back to Calgary towards the end of the month. Of the stores I've been to in Kelowna, the selection's a bit better, but still nothing I'm after. Saw a standalone Sweetie Belle, which I didn't even know existed, but I already gave away a spare Sweetie Belle, I don't need another. I also found this thing in Zellers. http://ur1.ca/6v55f

!calgary It's nice to be back in Beautiful Billboard Columbia, but, god damn, there are some things you just don't notice about a place until you've been gone for a while.

!calgary I want to be there for the reporter, but I'm in another province :/

!calgary !college http://oat.nu/b6q9u Final grades are in. Can't rightly complain.
