  3. There must be something wrong with me. I am finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the internets. And I'm not bothered by it. @_@

  5. I've been taking a mini hiatus from the internet... mostly by accident. Will try to start checking things routinely again post-Acen. If anypony needs me, you can always email me at northerndash@derpymail.com

  7. The groundwork has been laid. Why the overreaction? It takes more than one pony to create this masterpiece.

  10. @darklycute Fanfiction publications, in print? Suddenly I'm very interested. No, HP Lovecraft starting out in early zines has no bearing on that interest. Maybe.

  12. @administrator Been there, found Debian, got annoyed with jigdo but dealt with it anyway. Need to burn and install. Tried Gentoo before on one of these Macs but its geekfu is too strong for me (or I had bad timing and X was being rather obstinate then from what I've heard). Wish Linux Mint worked with PPCs :P Was more wondering if you or anyone else knew of a project out there that hasn't been noticed by distrowatch.

  13. @administrator Ubuntu's too Windows-like for my tastes (this being spoken from my Windows 7 build...) I prefer Linux Mint. Although right now I have two older PPC iMacs (both G3s) that really need some variety of modern OS for turning them into decent net browsing machines... any ideas?

  14. @strawberryspice The very first model of PS3 was fully backwards-compatible (could play PS2 and PS1 games). Later, they removed the PS2 hardware due to cost and tried having the backwards compatibility via emulation, but it wasn't 100% so rather than deal with attempting to support it they dropped it entirely with models after that. All PS3s are compatible with PS1 games. I have one of the first models with full backwards compatibility myself ^_^ !vgp

  17. I think this fits the brony fandom: "When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." - C. S. Lewis #

  21. @administrator book.rainbowdash.net sounds really cool if done right. Rewriting the various RPs into book form is a daunting task though. I'm very hesitant to volunteer towards anything for it because I'm unsure if I'd have the time to accomplish what would need done...

  22. !vgp Being a fan of single-player games, this PSN fiasco hasn't bothered me much. It's still annoying that it's still ongoing, fattening up the anti-Sony trolls...

  25. In other news, the party *does* last all weekend for those who want to stick around (actually watching the finale will happen on Saturday; nopony has to stick around if they don't want to). We have tons of floor space to crash on, but it's all hardwood so bring lots of blankets or other comfy material to make yourself comfy. Also bring earplugs or the like if noise will bother you, as at least I plan on partying all night! :P

  26. I also have an NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Genesis with SegaCD and Master System adapter, Saturn, Dreamcast, CDi, and Atari 2600, but quite literally *all* of the games for them are still in Cleveland. Also I have yet to find most of their cables. So if you wanna play them, bring controllers, games, and cables... I just have the systems themselves currently. I do have two TVs.

  27. Figured I should mention: for my pony party, I have a PS3. One of the fancy ones that can play PS2 games as well as PS1 and PS3 games. Bring games and controllers if ya' have 'em (I only have one controller and basically no multiplayer games here) (90% of my games are hiding in Cleveland where I used to live still and I probably won't have them in time for the party)

  28. @puzzlemint Two add-ons that have yet to work for me that I miss are the 4chan extension and skipscreen. I too had to install add-ons to beat it back to usability. What were they thinking? -_-;;

  30. For the party, Springfield's located on I-70 between Columbus and Dayton. Almost all of Ohio as well as portions of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and even Ontario and Illinois are within a 4-hr drive of it. There's also a Greyhound station here as well as a nearby major airport in Dayton. So there's multiple ways for anypony to show up if they'd like! Just drop a line to the email in the invite with any specific transportation concerns if you have them. We're already organizing carpools from the Cleveland area (where we lived formerly). Hope to see ya' here! ^_^
