@adiwan What does a kernel look like ?
-
@adiwan it's expensive NOW, wait a while, the price should be going down soon
same thing happened wit Blu-Ray readers and overlock stitching
it's expensive cuz it's new, the components themselves aren't very hard to make, it's just that many people/companies don't do them yet -
@adiwan people need to realize that eye tracking is not just about the software, if the hardware can't handle it it's going to give people horrible headaches

@adiwan Josie and the appleycats! Long apples, and grapes for hats!

@adiwan Yeah, when I remembered a friendly conversation about that W909 I thought it was more like how I always clad my Smartphone, but 2 of them, in a clamshell like setup. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAidNmVCl28

@adiwan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vfqr281fvoc ... not what I had in mind when you said what you said but it still looks awesome.

@zennx Well, if Morpheus would prophecize me to be the one I would only believe him to take me into high regard, but if the Oracle would flatout tell me I am the one I would start to live my life like I am the one. What I am saying with this is that a prophet needs to be smart about what he or she says, conveys, leaks, and more specifically does not do. @adiwan Even if it is a magic curse, there would be some way to get around it. Maybe the person in that story wasn't prophecising hard enough about what he/she should do him/her-self

@takepapayaakenji @adiwan i just realized this

@adiwan @takepapayaakenji LMAO RDNS WORLD FILTER WONT LET YOU TYPE HIS URL

@adiwan The 'race to the bottom' and people expectations that prices won't rise on appliances or electronics both pretty much guarantee that stuff will be made more and more cheaply as time goes on. We should all expect the things we buy from companies that participate in that racket to last for shorter periods of time before failing.

@adiwan In some retellings, she's even considered a witch who is responsible for the tragedy.
-
@adiwan Wait, is that Roman or Greek ? Also, that is really hard to pull off. I mean, if someone warns me about the untold disasters and trouble to heal the scars of a tragedy he/she could be "lucky" the first time. The second time I will raise and eyebrow and maybe even try to place him/her at the origination of the disaster, but I will sure as hell listen the third time.

@adiwan I should probably read a book about that once to understand it. I am not great with history at all. Although I have heard about this one guy who burned down a pretty important building and was declared to be removed from history... I wish I could remember that name of the building he torched.

@nerthos @adiwan let me ask you a serious(-ish) question. What if someone were to posess the indeniable truth that it indeed was a set up when the towers fell, and be able to get it out to the public in such a large scale that it can not be denied. What do you think will happen ? Asside from all the people whom still have stockpiles of "Bush lied !" picket fences going back out there that is. My guess ? America will lose a lot of face, probably be forced to retreat from the middle east by the NATO ( aswell as some sanctions ) and the future of the middle east would probably still be just as grim though with less drone-bombing-runs. At this point the past will not be changed, and I doubt there will be any winners no matter how you look at it. ... Well maybe North Korea will make it into a national holliday.

@adiwan Not going to argue the topic here, but my stance on it is that it's complete BS.

@adiwan sniffing jet fuel will distort reality
-
@adiwan Quite, if I saw that at my workplace I would ask them to double my hazzardpay.
-
@adiwan Doctor Sweetleaf. I only have the one (so far), but he prefers to be referred to as a "Fabricant" instead of the slur "puppet." :p

@adiwan Sesame Weed oh my god

@adiwan shut up NERD

@adiwan I'd used them for eight years at the PennySaver, so I was already pretty familiar with their day-to-day foibles. In a perfect world, I'd be able to get a workstation-quality laptop with a stable operating system of my choice without having to go "premium," but what're you gonna do?
-
@adiwan As if I would only eat half a pizza. What would I do with the other half? Not eat it?

@adiwan Which district of Zootropolis does Gumball take place in?
-
@adiwan So this ring is secret, but fun?

@adiwan Aw, darn. Anyway, allow me to explain in short. My dad wants a laptop, I said he could have my old one as is since that is pretty much what he needs, and I could use a more powerfull one anyway. ( One that does not stutter when I try to play something on YouTube while having a word processor open would be nice ). I sorta stumbled on https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/475752/lenovo-ideapad-y700-15isk-(80nv00hmmh)/specificaties/ ( specs tab is opened ) and for apples and giggles started to compare it to different ones. the comparison to this one is what poked my funnybone https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/432483/asus-republic-of-gamers-g551jm-cn120h/specificaties/ ... Litteral embodiment of "more for less" when I look at CPU and GPU alone.
-
@adiwan As do I, But I have not even looked at laptops since 2008 or so. ... Got a name on that keyboard type BTW ?
-
@adiwan https://ic.tweakimg.net/ext/i/2001134405.jpeg on a Lenovo IdeaPad Y700-15ISK ... is that a Chiclet ?
-
@adiwan Somewhere probably a year ago you were looking for a laptop with some sort of keyboard, what keyboard type were you trying to avoid again ?
-
@adiwan Then I take it is not worth looking at the things for the sake of continuety ?
