Buying cheap PETG filament was a bad idea. It prints but it's really finicky to deal with. That spool warps almost like ABS, which is very untypical from my previous spools. I need to print with a huge brim and very little part-cooling. Also I got a clog in the nozzle. It is advertised with terms like "high bed adhesion" and "no clogging" and "premium quality". I estimate that with all the printing problems this spool will do to me I paid more than with my usual stuff.

Man. I really miss sleep.

The first episodes of the Clone Wars series are rough compared to the Bad Batch. I could see raw and barely interpolated texels on some models.

@scribus There is a MLP series currently running called "Pony Life". It's the mane six in an Equestria with modern technology. The episodes are all 5 minutes long and the series' style is Teen-Titans-Go-ish. The story substance is very shallow as a result of this. Not horrifyingly bad, mostly meh.
BTW: There is a G5 movie announced that will be released on Netflix. There are some character designs and screen shots released. -
That was the result: https://i.imgur.com/Liw0xmu.jpg It was good but I used a tad bit too much of olive oil in the dough.

Trying for the first time spelt wheat pizza dough. Right now the dough is rising so I'm quite curious how it'll behave as pizza dough and how it'll taste. Usually I make pizza dough with regular wheat.

I'm soo peeved off today, it's not funny. Neighbour was acting like an asocial piece of papaya and I had to wait half an hour for a covid test so I can enter the home improvement store, then I had to wait half an hour in the pickup line for my order (why haven't they done pickups outside?), and then the ordered board was broken in half during transport, and then I had to wait another half hour so I could order a replacement. Not only have I wasted my time but also my father's time, who waited the whole time outside. And now it'll take 3 weeks for the new one to arrive.

GTA 5 is getting a release for PS5 and XBox Series X/S. Who does even want to play GTA 5 anymore? It's the same with Skyrim and its ports. Who does even want to play those re-releases on yet another platform? Are there so many people who have not yet experienced the game and are willing to pay a significant upcharge when the used game market gives a good and cheaper option? I'm OK with Rockstar wasting money and do not really care when customers do waste theirs. I'm done with GTA 5 myself and have no urge to play it again. I'm just confused and curious for the reasons behind this business decision. It baffles me that the company stagnates creatively on purpose. L.A. Noire (2011) was the last original game that was not a re-release or spinoff. Even that is not a huge mark for the game as it is basically GTA but you're the good guy and has more story. I wrote too much for something I'm not emotionally invested in.

I was drying my PETG filament in my baking oven for 6 hours today. The problem with PETG is that it absorbs water from the air as it is hygroscopic. During printing the moisture boils within the filament and creates bubbles and unwanted pressure in the meltzone and thus weaken the layer adhesion and creating visual nastiness all over the model, like stringing and blobs and scars. So far it was a success trying it for the first time myself.

@scribus Many years ago I had also a few deaths in the family within a short time frame. At least I didn't have to buy a new suit because the one still fit.

Oh man. I really want the RetroTink 5X for my consoles. So far it's the best upscaler that doesn't need a ton of configuration. Also it offers a motion compensation deinterlacer with almost no lag. $300 is a hard pill to swallow.

Only two to three months.... Only two to three months... Only two to three months... My awful neighbours are going to leave... however it'll take a few months as my landlord said that the other apartment will be ready this month.

Ooof... Over half of my comics got a dented corner in the latest shipment. 10 comics. And that although they are bagged and are boarded.

@scribus With the exact same argument you can say that German would be choice :D
-
I was going through my local listings browsing for comics. About 60% is Manga, 20% Disney, 10% Marvel/DC, the rest mostly Astérix, Lucky Luke, and then random others. And everything almost exclusively in German. I found only a couple offers with comics that are in English. Somehow I prefer reading fiction in English.

I've added a proper half-transparent mirror foil to my windows. I hope it'll prevent that my apartment heats up quickly.

@scribus Yeah. I took the image from https://www.artstation.com/artwork/361zm , removed the bottom half of the picture, AI upscaled it with http://waifu2x.udp.jp/ and enhanced the colors to match the other portraits of the other players that are used for the character tokens in Roll20.
-
@scribus I get what you mean. I just wanted a slightly female-coded (to my monkey brain) lizard-woman that doesn't scream "look at my bewbs" or appears to be sexualized. The attached image is the one I will use as it is currently the closest to what I'm imagining for a female lizardfolk druid potion brewer. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/875898
-
It's shocking how hard it is to find a decent and respectable portrait image of a Lizardfolk person with a female appearance without huge mammaries (or chestbumps), and in a realistic art style, and sufficiently clothed. I don't mind a little wider breast but it gets out of hand in a lot of images.

I have hard times imagining why I would ever buy RGB LED enabled/equipped PC components or want to have a window to look into. The components are usually a visually not coherent and look ugly anyway. Also I rather want to look what's happening on the PC monitor than into a PC case.

I looked through my Pokémon cards and I found that I have about 50 of 1st edition base/fossil/jungle cards.

"The Mitchells vs. the Machines" is a fine movie. It's held back by intentionally (I hope) outdated internet cringe.

I replaced my shoelaces with elastic bungee-rope-like bands on my shoes. I have to test my implementation of my 3D-printed connection piece for the end of the elastic band before I replace the shoelaces of all my shoes.

@khaliljohnson12344 Hi. This site is far from what you fear of. But weird it'll be one way or another.
-
@scribus It's half as bad as it sounds. It's only a 5mm (1/5th inch) cut. I tried a new transparent matte nail polish and it looks almost as good as new, except for a little blood under the nail and a little bit of white around the cut. I applied 4 thick coats and the finger nail is usable for light work like scratching the nose.
-
I've cut into my fingernail of my index finger and have split the damn thing in half. No major injury. Only the fingernail itself is affected. The lack of structural integrity there feels soo odd and annoying. Even with nail polish holding it together (borrowed a transparent nail polish from my mother) it turns out to be an annoyance. At least I'm not afraid anymore of the split going any further.

Wet sanding my slate coasters was not a bad idea. Once I bought a set of 16 coasters for engraving and gifting them. Only half of them were in a decent quality and the rest questionable to unusable. I wet sanded one of the worst ones and got a decent result. The worst ones were extremely uneven but have become super flat and uncannily smooth. It makes even fun to slide the fingers over it as they glide effortlessly.

Cycled almost 8km. Having new tire hoses for the bicycle is great. The previous ones lost air fairly quickly and I couldn't pump up as much, what increased the rolling resistance immensely. Right before changing the hoses they could not hold the air for 50m. I only have to fix the gears. They work mostly. Switching to the highest set of gears fail. I use the middle gears anyway. I'm not fit enough for the highest ones.
