  1. @haganbmj the assurance that mlp was now more or less an acceptable thing online. Having bypassed the initial origins of the community, and the discoveries that occurred whilst the show was airing; this new breed of bronies attempted to merge with the established fanbase. It's the same... group (for the most part) as what 4chan refers to as 'summergrapess'

  2. @mrdragon I don't mean this as offense to anyone - but the way I see the mlp community is in waves of people. Initially, it was a college and above crowd that spent their time online and was involved in various communities that found mlp; this was before mlp was featured in countless news articles and on 'meme' websites. It was also before mlp became an acceptable thing online, as most of the initial users were met with fairly harsh feedback on other websites. It was this initial community that banded together however and formed the websites we now have (rdn being a late example of such). When the end of the common american school year rolled around, however, a surge of middle school and high school students who weren't as involved online during semester came into the scene; finding shortcuts into the community in the form of knowyourmeme.com and other reference websites. Such websites fed the new 'fans' cultural references that had been established months prior, and came along with

  4. @treblecanter Hey there - At the moment I only have it working well with Chrome for whatever reason (with the requirement though that you have the extension Tampermonkey installed - which I'll link to at the end here). Firefox, well, since the update to Firefox 5 at least, has been rather temperamental - so I'll be looking into that when I find the chance. ~ Really though, if everything is set up correctly it should just take a refresh of the page to get things loaded. Also, make sure you're using rainbowdash.net instead of rainbowdash.com ~ I didn't set up the config to allow the .com extension which has recently become available. ~~ https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo

  6. @mrbrown because this site is broken, and you can make groups without names, which cannot then be fixed or deleted. Also, bronies.com/map

  7. @starshine Yeah I can imagine that - the group dynamic changes the movie experience dramatically.

  9. @xriffmasterx Still haven't seen that one - It didn't catch my attention from the previews and trailers - perhaps I'll give it a go though.

  10. @xriffmasterx Same here - I have no interest in such films overall.

  11. @xriffmasterx Yeah it was a humorous (sort of) - but it was just really strange and hard to watch. Especially on my ipod at 2am - that was just weird.

  20. @starshine I honestly doubt I'd ever been holding a tuna sandwich. This is way too much for my brain to handle - @muffinninjafluttershy is injecting tuna into my memories :O

  24. @eaglehooves Right right - there's a point at which I just don't want to deal with certain folders (like some of the disorganized pony image folders I have) ~ I started fresh on this computer though; only transferred over my music files.

  29. @eaglehooves My computer's fairly recent as well (year?), but for some reason only had a 300gb hard drive built in - which between school programs and a number of larger files goes fairly quickly.
